I remember reading something, early on, about using coconut oil, on dry hands (from all of the hand washing). That is also adds a protective layer.

I mix a pea sized amount, with hand lotion.

one of the posts on that texags site talked about a coconut oil product that might help with transporting the zinc. dont remember the exact name
