The best advice I would give to anyone who is ill, stay home until you are short of breath and call the ambulance.
Yup. We're sucking up another $18k in medical bills from a couple seizures my wife had on Feb 23. 911/ambulance/ER/ICU/2 x CT scan/1 x MRI/EEG/EKG. Diagnosed epileptic. New house policy...no 911. Wait out the seizure. Notify her GP. That assumes normal blood glucose and low ketones, otherwise assume DKA and off to the ER.
