I could see the scenario where five days prior to the convention...Joe announces that mentally...he’s not up to the job and this gets thrown into the first hour of the convention to round up the insider candidate to be the replacement.

All of the Bernie-people would go ballistic, and the question would be...why did they waste all that time and money on the primary season?

Because they had a lot of candidates. They figured they had to have a good one in that bunch, after all there were a lot of Democrat superstars and rising politicians. They learned otherwise. 8>)
