thanks ! it was a good follow. Hey...2016 made it all good.
We were born at the right time my friend. Rockets. Sling shots. BB guns. Pellet guns. Kites. Rock fights (rarely). Snow ball fights (often). Fist fights (rules) Carbide cannons and lanterns. Hitching rides using car bumpers (ice sledding) Riding bicycles everywhere... Breaking street lights (lol) Throwing corn cobs at semis (lol) Throwing dirt clods at cars (lol) Throwing tomatoes at cars (lol) Throwing apples at cars (lol) [I’m going to burn in hell]
every kid had a pocket knife ... we played games like stretch and chew the peg ...
In, eventually, and thanks for all you do.
This bike keeps trying to run me down when I walk down a street nearby. Every darn time! Its a vicious cycle.
You win the Threddz...

Thank you, grey. Will there be ice cream?
Sling shots, man that was my thing. All it took was a Y shaped branch and an old inner tube, weapon of choice for the maker-kid. Best of all ammo was literally underfoot if you lived in a town that didn’t have all paved streets. Sure you could put an eye out but mostly the worst would that happened was a sting and you’d beat the snot out of the kid who shot you and he wouldn’t do it again! My first endeavor with a BB gun involved shooting out a street light (and getting caught) so that was also my last. Slingshot though, that was portable mischief power that any kid could afford!
You didn’t mention firecrackers. And that brings us to “shooting firecrackers out of slingshots...”
I can has resQue?
Nice! LOL!
And yeah. That’s a meat thermometer. All the kids are grown. Can’t find a rectal thermometer anywhere! LOL
Marbles worked great in sling shots. Especially the steelies.
Unfortunately, though, there will be some limitation of flavors. We're all out of Peach Mint.
No worries - they’re ALL in detention now, heh heh heh
wonder how she got herself inoculated with it.
We used to pick the taconite off of the railroad tracks. Great for short range small game and other assorted youthful purposes.
Possibly attention seeking, I watched the video. She was very flat, not emotional. She said she got back from a trip to central europe and self isolated because she had been riding on trains, but then a couple of days later started to feel poorly, but then her dad got much more sickly, so she started to think they both must have gotten it, but you can’t be tested in Sweden unless you require urgent medical intervention, so who knows.
I still prefer to call it GRIDS (Gay Related Immune Deficiency Syndrome).
Remember tennis ball cannons?
I shot one at cars at night.
Soaked the felt with lighter fluid so the ball was FLAMING!
Another thing we had as kids. We could walk into the local market and buy lighter fluid. No one would even bat an eye.
But, I’m old enough to remember buying Lucky’s for the old man.
