Thread #25 here:

Regardless of whether he has me “snowed”, he by all appearances is doing a pretty damned good job on this. And that’s all I can judge the guy on.
Washington State DOH has been reporting regularly at about 3:00 PST each day. Now here it is at 5:42 and they have not checked in.
King County, our biggest county and the site of the most deaths reports seven today. Yesterday it was 12 in King County.
I do not know whether the Department of Health has delay because of massively more testing. It was said that the National Guard was going to assist so maybe statewide testing is too much to report yet.
tell ya what
YOU copy and paste all them
then explain what you mean.
ping me to that
Thanks for your hard work. Now if just the new ones to the thread, would just read them first.
cuz I;m not sure what you mean.

These groups are not distributed in the same geographic areas. The relative risks are different based on population density patterns.
Here is the data for New York City. My contact that works in a NYC Hospital stated they are not doing good.
New York state only has 3000 ICU, do the math. Not a very good heath care system, Italy has a better system.
Total infected in New York City: 15591
192 Deaths (67 more since 24 hrs ago)
2,850 hospitalized & 660 in ICU
Borough Breakdown:
Queens: 4,667
Manhattan: 3,013
Brooklyn: 4,407
Bronx: 2,505
Staten Island: 999
“It took 50-60 YEARS, and scores of waves of epidemics, for the pre-Conquest population of Mexico to drop from 20 million to 2 million. It did not all happen in the period 1521-24.”
The Native Americans in 1521-1524, nor the Europeans, had planes, trains and automobiles and a global economy. They had vast distances, slow travel and a hodgepodge of groups that often avoided each other entirely (was gonna say “like the plague”, but...) so that 50-60 years was still pretty fast to depopulate 2 continents.
First Spanish colony was in Florida in 1565, IIRC. Serious colonization didn’t really get going for a while.
Yes. Consistent with what I’m hearing. I left a comment laying around here, somewhere, about “the shape of the battlefield”.
They only look like a bunch of clowns. Some are pretty on top of it.
The numbers of deaths won’t determine when Opening Day is. The number of new cases being found will.
Why do you keep presuming that those who are self-isolating are scared?
Common sense and conservative precautions are not scared.
Scared is buying the stores out of toilet paper when some bad news comes along, be it a virus or a snowstorm.
IOW, some people care more about money that others.
Crises like this really do reveal a persons true character.
Also like a mystery with red herrings, false clues... the works.
“Oxford study crashes”
I watched vid. Was wondering about the point he raised, too, that if Oxford is right, then we should see more positives on the tests we are currently doing.
Maybe they are a little right, that would be good.
How are we supposed to get our populace to agree on measures when we have Oxford and Imperial College saying two completely different things? Makes it difficult.
AZ checking in-
# of cases 326
# of deaths 5
# diagnosed using public testing 41
# diagnosed using private testing 285
# diagnosed positive 43
# test results pending 22
# test results ruled out 313
AZ population- 7.02 million (2017)
AZ land mass- 6th largest state in the USA
Should 7 million people shelter in place over 5 COVID 19 deaths?
Understood, however, the preexisting diseases weren’t population reducers in general, yet the European-introduced ones greatly decimated the natives.
It wasn’t even on purpose - the Euros didn’t even realize what had happened to the natives until much later. After that there was some on purpose, but the tales of Europeans using large-scale biological warfare on the natives are mostly SJ fabrications.
No, he said he sent in Chuck Norris.
