A kid who licked toilets as part of the #CoronaVirusChallenge says he's now in the hospital with coronavirus. @gayshawnmendes was also just suspended from twitter
Well, yesterday was a bust, but I’m back on.
Happy Friday Eve everyone.
Puppy slept through Tuesday night but woke Mrs. ArGee up while I was in the shower. This morning I got up 15 minutes earlier and Mrs. ArGee was allowed to sleep until she needed to get up.
Slowly but surely Puppy is training us to her schedule. I’ll be driving our daughter back to her home this weekend. She’s enjoyed helping us with the puppy, but misses her cat.
Good morning, ArGee, and Happy Friday Eve! I wondered where you were yesterday, but I just chalked it up to work.
It’s good to know that Puppy is adapting to your improvised schedule. It will return to its former self in a few more months and she will be docile and obedient and proud of her accomplishments.
Do you know if anyone (company) takes printers/laptops/etc., and refurbishes them? I need to get this hugh box out of my living room, and the printer that is in it. The new printer actually has smaller outside dimensions than the old one so it doesn’t fit in the box with the foam protectors.
G/M Face.
Best Buy will take the printer for you. IIRC they will charge you a nominal fee and give you a Best Buy gift card for that same amount.
Otherwise, we had to use a local shop set up by a Methodist Church that would take anything in PA. I don’t even know if there’s a similar thing here.
That’s good to know! I’ll contact them so the next time I go into St George, I can take it with me. Otherwise, it will go into the dumpster. And that would be a waste. Thanks!
Hello everyone! Back from some exercise. Next I’m going up to Weight Watchers to officially weigh in, because then I get a discount. I’ve suggested the yutes go pick blackberries if they want pie, but they’re resisting, so I guess no pie.
I would have been out the door like a shot, if I’d had the incentive of a pie. But then, that was long ago and far away!
I miss my walks at Walmart, but the hills between here and there use up too much gas. So I’ll have to scope out some more places. None of the fast food places are open for breakfast except McDonald’s and that opens at 0500. But it’s almost two miles away, and I’m not ready for that, yet.
And then there are shoes that need to be got for the walking. I used to have a pair of Sketchers that I tried very hard to wear out — I would walk down to Walmart and then take the bus home. The shoes I have are far too unsuitable to walk any distance in.
Still nobody sufficiently interested in pie. Oh, well.
I hope you’ve made it to St. George and back safely.
Just got in the door.
My knee is going to be x-rayed in the next few days, and I’ll find out what’s going on with it.
The drive back wasn’t too bad. I figured out that there are a few streets that go under the freeway so I don’t have to take the stupid “diamond” over it on St George Blvd. I always get confused by that thing, so finding ways to avoid it.
Anyway, it was getting warm by the time I got here, but it’s mostly downhill, so that’s good!
Glad you’re home. I went to nap. Next, I’ll go to Walmart. We’re almost out of milk.
I’m almost off to bed. I have a horrible mess here, and tomorrow, James and his wife are coming early to say goodbye, as they are moving to Arkansas. Now I’m sad. :o[
So. The pills are waiting and I’m hoping I feel better in the morning.
The card that Charlie sent me was to let me know he has a new phone number. Not realizing, of course, that people actually take their phones when they travel! Anyway, he signed up with Cox, basic service, and got a landline, because he hates cell phones. He doesn’t know how to figure them out. But that’s OK. He gave me the new number and that’s all that counts.
Anyway, I’m outta here for the night. I have to clean things up a bit in the morning, and then make another run to Walmart, while I still have the gumption.
Best wishes for a good night. I’m sure James and his wife will understand that you just got home from a trip.
James sent me a text at 2112, asking if they could come later, so 1030 it is. I guess they took their stimulus check and decided to move two months early. Well, that’s OK. He’ll be close to my Favorite Son, and that’s good. It means I’ll be able to get news of them!
So now I need to take pills and then go shower. I could have slept longer but I had to get up. My right leg was really bothering me. Today, I’ll wear an ankle brace, as it seems to work better than the knee brace.
Good morning. I slept late. I’ll be back in a minute with a kitteh.
“Ima put dis fing rite dere!”
Good morning.
The shower wore me out, and now I want to go back to bed. Not gonna happen.
So next on the docket is a letter to Charlie, and then a trip to Walmart, then home, to destroy the evidence that I’ve been gone.
I also have to go to Walgreen’s and pick up my prescription. I really need to rest, instead!!
We have several excursions in the plan for today. First, I have to put the blind up for Jake, because it’s going to be a prime Sunbeam day.
The trip to Walmart is behind me, and I just have to wait for Walgreen’s to open so I can get my prescription, then home to wait for James and Abbie.
I was hoping to find a book for them at Walmart, but the book section looks as if its been picked clean. So. No parting gift. :o[
You can send them something once they get there.
Back from Target, where we bought a birthday gift for Kathleen’s friend whose party is tomorrow; Petsmart, where we bought crickets; and the bread outlet, where we bought bread.
Your Local Game Store doesn’t open until 1:00 p.m., so we’ll go there after nap, and also to the Dollar Tree to see if they have humongously large flip-flops for Vlad.
Vlad spent $27 for the new issue of “Magic: The Gathering” cards, and one of the cards he received in the set was worth $75.
Also, my underwear came from Hanes.com. It’s like Christmas.
Whoa! $75??? Hang onto that card, Vlad!
Christmas is when you get a package and you don’t know what’s in it!
James and Abbie to me to lunch at a place close to Zion Park. If I decide to go back, it will have to be in the winter because its such a hilly drive. I left my camera home, so no photos until I go back.
