Is that the bunnies using the wrenches on the gates or you using the wrenches to protect the gates?

Safely made it and onto the ground and had to drive another 45 miles to get to the destination of choice. There are two Watch Cats here, the Senior Captain being the marmalade, Merlin, and the Junior Captain being the inky Binxx. The latter of which is very curious, and both of them give me sour looks for taking over their bedroom.

Coming into DIA was VERY bumpy, and the sistah next to me was deathly afraid, each time the plane hit a pothole. We were seated over a wing, so I didn’t see much of the countryside as we flew, but as it was hazy over the Rockies, its just as well.

I stayed up as long as I could, putting me to sleep about 2000. I actually slept until about 0400. I don’t feel too much the worse for wear, but today will NOT be a Walking Tour. We will go to Pike’s Peak!

So, I’m here and I’ll enjoy what I can of it!!

My wife is out hunting for appropriate foodstuffs for the week and my daughter’s summer school class begins at 8 so I have Eileigh duty. For a bit there I thought she was going to be “up” but she conked at about the right time.

I hope you have a lovely time at Pike’s Peak! All the views!

Best wishes with the puppy.

In the beginning there was a gate, and the gate was good.
Now to this gate came a bunny with a big wrench.

Okay. The bunny has the wrench.

He’s a really weird bunny.

I’m sure, but removing obstacles is fairly reasonable in general, if not with a wrench.

The important question is, is it a monkey wrench?

If it is, the universe is doomed.

I’m trying to remember the weirdness scale.

Bunny with a crescent wrench - 1
Bunny with a box wrench - 11
Bunny with a sliplock wrench - 113
Bunny with a socket wrench - 311
Bunny with a pipe wrench - 499
Bunny with a monkey wrench - look out universe

I feel like a pipe wrench should be worth more.

Squirrels operate in groups, though.

We went to Pike’s Peak, we met some very nice people, we got some over-priced things including souvenir T-Shirts, some over-priced post cards and managed to fend off altitude sickness. But the air sure is thin up there!

The road to Pike’s Peak is now paved (as of two years ago) and the Pike’s Peak Race is still an event. I had a few moments of cowardice, but there was no way I could turn around and go back because...we were in a shuttle with some other brave (or not-so) souls, so we made it to the top and back down. It was a 250-mile day. Tomorrow we’re going to browse the local shops, and I hope I don’t see anything I like because I a) can’t spend any more money, and b) have no room to bring it home.

So Saturday, we’re driving up to my Real Brother’s place and then I’ll have a few days to rest before I leave!! :o])

Sounds like a successful day. Our little mountains here are sufficient for my needs. I don’t know about altitude sickness, but carsickness is an issue for me.

I’ve never had an issue with car sickness, but the altitude gave me a headache about half-way up the mountain. It lasted until we got down to about 8000 feet.

What a sweet little kitteh!

Good morning.

I forced myself to get up because I want to shower before the Significant Other comes home from work. Wednesday night was his first night back to work in three months, and he was anxious, to say the least. Maybe last night was a better night for him.

Tactless ‘Face has a difficult time trying to interact with him on a level that gives him the respect he is due.

It’s hard to function in a place where there are other people that I have to deal with, but I’m trying hard not to be a pain the neck. Or lower. Doing the things I normally do at home helps, but that is limited.

This trip will be remembered, for sure!
