One can hope.
I note that earthquake clusters are moving up from Ridgecrest to Tonopah...
...next stop, Reno.
I just hope I’m on the right side when The Peoples Republic of California literally splits from America!

If you’re on the Right side of the San Andreas Fault, you should be OK, with room to spare. You’ll get shaken, but at least you’ll be around to tell about it. Utah is getting their share of quakes, too.

It most certainly is! They devised a welfare system in the 20’s that the current welfare program was patterned after, though the government’s program isn’t nearly as efficient. Ours could be better named as a “work fare” program. The idea is to help people when they need it but also to help them become self-sufficient. Whereas, the government’s program is designed to keep people dependent. (I know this from personal experience.)

San Fransisco is on the east side of the San Andreas fault.
I’m holding out for the fault system going up the Long Valley caldera, up through Carson City.
Unlike the strike-slip San Andreas fault, it’s a normal fault and the spreading should create a nice, wide, flooded graben and actually remove CA from the civilized parts of America...

Seems like a tenuous connection.

We’re not supposed to think there’s anything wrong with people’s being dependent on government. “It’s a feature, not a bug.” It’s racist even to want to be independent.

Yes, you’re right. Sorry about that. All the projections I’ve seen are removing CA from the map. I’m just glad that the people I know and love are no longer there.

Yes, that’s the government’s point of view, but the church prefers to follow the Lord’s Teachings and not give people handouts. It doesn’t help them.

I really like the BabylonBee!
And now, after picking up all the debris from the wind, the Dismally Inept Lawn Service is now cranking up their machines. *sigh*

You’re welcome. One must allow for the possibility of its being metaphor, of course, but it is there in the text.

Of course, those that don’t believe in God will never learn from Him, no matter how simple the instruction. Remember the brazen snake...
