Just embarrassed. The door was closed. He’s taken to sitting in the closet in there, now that it’s not full of the boys’ things.

It’s good to know Jake is OK. And yes, I’m familiar with cats in closets!!

It’s very gloomy here. Kathleen has a riding lesson this afternoon, or I would declare Long Naps as an assignment.

It’s very sunny and nice, now, and I’ve decided that I will need to wash a plastic chair and maybe sit in the shade tomorrow.

I drove the route that I will walk in a day or two. Because of CFIDS, I don’t think its prudent to walk every day, but I think I need to walk. I used to do a lot of it, and now, I need to do it again. Maybe I’ll find a CD player to take with me. — I found a couple! The ear pads on the headphones are in sad shape, but I’m working on that. I needed to make some for my Dragon Nuance headset, so they will work.

I hope Kathleen’s riding lesson isn’t rained out.

It is failing to rain, fwiw. I’m glad you have a nice day, finally. Make sure you are very careful about walking.

I finished up a book with a main character who was a wounded warrior. We should start including activities for those on Memorial Day.

I run across so many posts on FB of memorials to the fallen and the wounded of so many wars. I also support the Wounded Warrior foundation.

As a military wife, mother, grandmother and widow, I absolutely, positively must support the dead and the wounded and those who also serve who only stand and wait.

I wouldn’t think the dead need our support. We need to remember the dead for us, not for them.

But that’s just my $.02. With inflation it’s not worth even that.

I agree. But I also know a lot of people have a hard time accepting death, no matter what form it takes or who is affected. Those people need reassurance that there was a reason for the death of someone lost in a war, even though we know that death comes to us all.

As for the living while wounded, they need us to remember not only them but their comrades in arms who may have made the ultimate sacrifice saving said wounded survivor. So I try to remember all of them because not everyone believes in God, or in Life After Death. In fact, I know someone in my own family who believes that if we are resurrected, it won’t be in the same form we have when we die.

Me? If the Savior was resurrected to His pre-eternal state, then so will we all, because He said so. So I try to be compassionate, no matter what other people believe.

D’afternoon. Kathleen was a howling brat, so I told her riding teacher she was poorly, which is only true. Then I went to bed, because I was in a funk. I’m getting too old for howling brats.

It’s raining again.

Has been one heck of one year for better half and myself. So much accomplished yet so much to still be done. Am requesting prayers for I know not if God will grant us the strength to reach our rocking chairs. The light at the end of the tunnel has been freight train after freight train. Stay Safe Everyone !!!!

As a PS to #2149, Memorial Day is for remembering men and women who died in wars.

Veteran’s Day is for remembering our Living who fought and returned from those wars, most all of whom were wounded in some form or another. PTSD of today was “Shell Shock” of Yesterday. But it’s still wounding.

I was too old for howling brats as soon as my kids left home.

For some reason, I woke up and looked at the time and saw “0230,” so I groaned and got up. I’ve been up 30+ minutes and finally looked at the computer clock: 0105. The clock actually said “1230,” but my water bottle was in the way of the “1.” Gonna be a loooong day. My version of a howling brat.

So now, you’re getting all those storms that we had, and you have my deepest sympathy.

Maybe you can lie down and think about cats later. I got up for the bathroom at 3:00, and then Shannon got in bed with us, purring in a, “Why am I doing this?” way.

Shannon doesn’t normally sleep with you, does she? Silly girl. Doesn’t know what she’s missing.

Oh, aren’t they cute?? And their eyes match their coats! What a deal!

Good morning.

My inks came, so I’m ready to start printing. Now all I have to do is wait for the Dragon software to get here. For some reason, this laptop doesn’t like it when I try to download programs, and it’s even hard to install from a CD. Anyway, I’m almost ready.

Maybe I’ll get something done today, since I’ve already had my shower.

I had to spray the bedroom this morning. I’ve seen two little creepy crawly thingys in the last week, and it would appear as if they are coming from next door. I’ll tell Chuck and try to find out when they spray the outside.

No, Shannon usually doesn’t even come in the room. I don’t know what she wanted, but she was still hanging around at 4:45 when I got up. I was dreaming a building was being torn down, and we were finding all the things Anoreth left behind when she moved out. I’m sure it was because we recently cleaned that room again!
