A kid who licked toilets as part of the #CoronaVirusChallenge says he's now in the hospital with coronavirus. @gayshawnmendes was also just suspended from twitter
She was on her good behavior, since she wanted something.
I’m not sure if I like that angular face on that pretty floof, but I guess that’s what the breeders want. I’ll always be partial to Siamese, but alley cats are always good for a cuddle.
Good morning.
I’ve written a letter to My Favorite Son, but nothing else has been done. For some stupid reason, I wake up several times during the clock and there’s no reason for it. I need to reset my thinking.
Once in a while, when I have a night to myself, I turn off my alarm, put the clock out of sight, and just sleep until I’m rested. This is not something I’ve done lately, though, because all the other people and cats.
Of course. Manipulators are like that.
I need to get something done today, even if it’s wrong! One thing I’ve get my mind to is trying to get the bookcases to where they look half decent, but I need to get the filing done, first, then get other stuff put away. The filing is scattered around for some reason.
We’re going hiking this morning. I hope to leave in about half an hour, so I’d better get cracking. I haven’t even seen James and his otherbrotherjames yet.
For me sins, I pin on my professional manner and do basic stuff for people that I’m super annoyed about, like washing up wine glasses every morning, even though I haven’t had any wine in four months.
Enjoy your hike! I’ll be slaving away at something!
Also, I don’t like what the breeders have done with Siamese. The ears look like house-elves.
Yes, I know the feeling. I had no Professional Manner, but I had the cleanest house in town. Lots of towns. Because I didn’t know what else to do with the anger.
I’ve put on my Scout uniform pants for the first time in months. They’re really large, compared to the last time!
Congratulations on the weight loss!!
I received my book! Tom the Son is here to put up a ceiling fan for Vlad and Frank. According to the book, his dreams about mountains and cannibalism mean that he faces obstacles but shouldn’t do anything stupid.
I’m taking that to mean that you like the book? It was my copy, but I had a paperback I was using until I could get another hardbound. I find its a book I can’t do without!
I’m glad you have that Large Person there to put up a fan for the byos. My mother always liked when I visited so I could reach the high shelves.
In other news, I did too much today. Got some of the stuff put away, other stuff organized and vacuumed the rug. I wanted to go check the mail, but I’m not feeling well enough to walk that little distance. Across a football field, I think, but too far for me, right now, anyway.
My joints ache, too, which is another sign. I ought to take my silly self down the hall.
I hope you have an excellent night. The fan is intalled, I’ve cut up two canteloupes, and I’m off for a lie-down with my furry friend, unless he’s outside thinking of killing, as he sometimes is.
Thanks! I hope your furry lie-down is good. Now, it’s cold with a “real feel” of 66° and I’m off for the night.
I hope you have a good evening!
Probably best to avoid travel through the Donner Pass for the foreseeable future then.
Excellent point. Good thing we have this pandemic lockdown thing.
Back in the forties, or thereabouts, there was another stranding in the Donner Pass due to weather.
A train through the pass was blocked, ahead and behind, by snow avalanches. The people were safe for the moment, ostensibly. But the train was ill-equipped for long-duration accommodations.
A very knowledgeable doctor took charge and locked up all the liquor, to be metered out gradually. Eventually, they were contacted and “rescued” through overland parties. The “Ordeal by Hunger”, volume two, was a short(er) adventure.
Very interesting. Rationing the liquor worked on warships and wagon trains, too.
I’ve seen several documentaries on the train that was stranded, and growing up in Central Utah, we learned about the Donner Pass Pioneers in school.
Now, it’s shower time.
