A kid who licked toilets as part of the #CoronaVirusChallenge says he's now in the hospital with coronavirus. @gayshawnmendes was also just suspended from twitter
With your sense of humor, Bob, we should be closely related. :o] You’d fit right in. But then, I’ve said that before.
Dat floof is waiting for brekkity! (breakfast)
Good morning.
I put a jigsaw puzzle together (300 pieces) and listened to a couple of short but uplifting talks.
My Favorite Son called yesterday afternoon and he and his wife sang the birthday song, and that made my day. There was a latecomer to the celebration, but I was asleep when her messages came in.
Nothing much on the docket today, except to give myself a refresher course in using the Dragon software, so I can get my paternal aunt’s journal transcribed, once and for all. I’m only about 20 pages in. It seems my Real Brother is anxious to get the stories that I have.
Good morning. We went out for an exertion. Next thing here is choir at 1000 EDT.
The DVD that I sent my Favorite Son and his wife came back to me today, owing $2.50 in postage. I know it cost them that much to send it back so why didn’t they just deliver it? I know — I’m asking the wrong person.
Anyway, I’ll get it sent back to them so they should have it by this time next week. My day is giving me a headache.
The mysteries of the USPS are beyond me.
Choir is finished. After lunch, we’re going to Lowe’s to look at refrigerators. DP wants one that makes ice. Our current one used to make ice, but hasn’t for ... years and years.
I want to be able to make ice in my freezer, but I won’t even try until such time as this place has been tested for mold.
I hope you find a very nice refrigerator!!
He’s supposed to look on Consumer Reports for suggestions.
FYI, my dad seldom made a purchase without consulting Consumer Reports. He was serious about getting the best he could for the money he had available.
My father was the same way. We found one we liked but it was unavailable for order until May 22. (Weird). So we took a picture of the info and will continue looking. Maybe we’ll find something we like better.

Placido Domingo, kitteh friends. Don't try this at home!
That tiny floof is being swallowed whole by the Shoe Monsker!
Good morning.
I slept late, and the shower took longer for some reason. Seems I spend more time on my face than anything else.
I’m not sure what’s going on today. Still no church, here, but I’ll find something to fill the spiritual gaps. I have enough books on Doctrine, for sure!
Does your local congregation have a streaming video feed?
Good morning. Cats and birds around this morning. How are your feathered friends doing?
No. In order to do that, they would have to actually go to the chapel and because of the way the meetings are structured, it would mean having people there to play the organ or piano, and more to sing the hymns as well as give talks.
The best I can do is watch a trial series that was done in the 80s on TV. It’s hard to watch because the video and audio are sub-standard today. The best I can do is listen to uplifting speeches. If I’m going to have sub-standard quality, I’d rather it be in the speech so at least I can use the headphones!
Sorry. I spaced the last paragraph.
The Muppet Birds are doing fine. Camilla is settling in very well and she even makes an attempt at playing with the toys, but they aren’t as elaborate as the ones she was used to. At any rate, she is molting much more than Gonzo is, so most of the tiny feathers I pick up are yellow.
I wish I could find a decent dust mop. I’m thinking of maybe going for a wet mop with removable/replaceable mop heads so I can wash them after one or two uses. It seems the only way I’m going to get into the corners and tiny spaces around the cage. The alternative is getting on my hands and knees to sweep them up with a brush and dustpan, but getting back up is the hard part.
Getting on your knees seems a dubious proposition. I expect someone makes just the tool you’re looking for.
I checked on eBay for what I want, but if I’m going to get some groceries on Tuesday, I can’t get the mop I need. Two separate vendors, but the prices are right and the tools are perfect.
How much?

Opera 101: Operatic Voices, the Fachs System
Fascinating a meaningful breakdown with very brie sound clips to illustrate the voice range. Scroll down, down, and down to the Spinto definition in which a clip has Placido sing from "Celeste Aida"...
