A kid who licked toilets as part of the #CoronaVirusChallenge says he's now in the hospital with coronavirus. @gayshawnmendes was also just suspended from twitter
I had some kittehs who were afraid of spiders. Flies? Yum-yum! Eat ‘em up!
I just got done zesting and juicing the lemons and got a little less than half a pint of zest and a pint of juice. That was my job for the day.
Well, I have to swap out the clothes, but I don’t want to. I want a nap. However, I put them on the bed, so they’ll have to be dealt with. Unless I decide to take the curse off the futon...
I’ve done some additional cleaning of the girls’ room. It’s trash day.
Trash day tomorrow. Nothing to go but the usual.
Finished my video WW meeting. I lost 4 lbs over the last two weeks.
I wish my weight would stabilize, one way or the other, but CFIDS.
It messes with my weight and my BP and there isn’t an awful lot I can do about either one.
In other news, the summer clothes are hanging in the closet, having been done a few at a time, and I suspect the winter clothes will be put away in the same manner. Slowly and in stages.
I still have to fold the socks and dainties, but they can wait.
It was so hard to get the documents together for energy assistance. Now’s the time I need someone looking of my shoulder to prompt me in the right direction.
I got a letter today!! YAY! Along with what I THINK is my final BD card, at least from family members (including my extended family in NC) so I won’t be looking for any more.
Tomorrow is my Favorite Daughter’s birthday, and then in two weeks is my Favorite Son’s birthday, then nothing until August, when its my Real Brother’s turn. :o])
The blank DVDs came today, along with my greeting card software, so now, all I have to do is read the thick instruction booklet for the latter and then experiment. The former will need reading the instruction manual for the Motorola.
So now, I’m going to fold up my tent and head down the hallway. It hasn’t necessarily been a long day, but its been a hard one, and very trying.
Tomorrow, I’ll put something else in the mail. Didn’t get to it today.
Is that counting the fact that everyone looks heavier on TV?
They still use stages where you are? No wonder everything goes so slow.
Which reminds me, I never understood why they measure automobile engines in horsepower. I don’t care how many horses you put up there you’re never going to go faster than 35 mph.
It depends on the angle at which you hold your phone. However, it will be interesting, if we’re ever allowed to meet in Real Life again, whether people look thinner in person.
The kids and I have just made some sandwiches for the homeless. Tomorrow, I’ll drop them off at the home of one of our church members, and she’ll take them to the Urban Ministry Center. If everyone on her email list participates, she’ll have several hundred.
Yeah, that doesn't sound ominous at all.
Kinda like those FINAL DEMAND FOR PAYMENT notices I get. Never true, though.
“Final Birthday Card” sounds like a good idea for a story.
LOL! Morning Floof wants in on the Birthday/travel deals!
Good morning.
When I faxed the last document (income verification) to the energy assistance place yesterday, I didn’t expect such rapid service, but when I checked my email this morning, I not only had been granted the energy assistance, but an additional stimulus ammount, so if I’m frugal, I can make it last the full year, paying less than $30 a month. What a relief!
The utility bill is the hardest one to budget for because it fluctuates so much.
Anyway, I slept late, so I have to go shower.
Good morning! You’re not going on a trip without Kitteh!
Bill the Son moved over to his sister’s place yesterday. I saw him when he returned DP’s pickup truck (and grabbed a snack, because if it’s your parents’ house, you can do that ;-). It will be good for Anoreth to have company; I think she’s getting a little eccentric. Maybe she can get a summer job.
We’ll be taking the sandwiches for the homeless shelter up to Mint Hill this morning and then going by the Post Office. The ‘teen bros have online D&D games this evening. James and Vlad are playing a game organized by Your Local Game Store, while Pat has his own group.
Trip isn’t until a month from Sunday, by date. Five weeks from yesterday by time. I’m still not actually used to the idea, even though Frontier made my last reservation. Now that my account is flagged for A&D (age and disability) I shouldn’t have any trouble ever again with Frontier. Not as good as SW, but still...
I have yet to call the shuttle service to have my schedule changed. Maybe I can remember to do that today. ;o]
I don’t recall getting a snack at my parents’ house because often, they were worse off than I was. But my Favorite Daughter does. Favorite Son doesn’t visit that often but he knows that my fridge has plenty of bottled water in it! And I have no idea, how I ran out of water. Oh. Yes. CFIDS.
For some reason, I spaced your last paragraph...
Things are opening up here, whether the gov says they can or not. People are tired of being out of work, and I think the next time something like this happens, there will be an uprising of the American people.
Your children don’t live nearby, which makes it less likely that they’ll stop in to snack (or to borrow a truck). Maybe Tom will come by this weekend. He was here at some point and picked up his turnpike transponder, but I didn’t see him.
Before I forget it, we had a power failure last night. I only know because the A/C wasn’t running and the fan in the kitchen had stopped. I have no electric clocks in the place. Come to think of it, it must have happened around 0100 because I woke up and saw that the mattress pad was off. I just thought it was because I had re-set it too soon. Nup. Power failure.
When Favorite Daughter and I both lived in Vegas, on the rare times she visited, she would, at some time during her visit, raid the fridge.
When Favorite Son and I lived in Vegas, we shared an apartment. Long ago and far away...
