The country doesn’t have the ACTUAL numbers of the MANY people who recovered at home without going to the doctor would bring the mortality percentages way down!! There have been a huge number of people who have had this and thought they had the flu recovered and went back to their lives!!!
That number is actually irrelevant other than to statisticians.
The only relevant number is how many will need a hospital bed/icu/ventilator at the same time.
And do we have enough of those for whoever needs one.
I agree. All the mild, undiagnosed cases, if modeled the way the CDC does with flu epidemics, could bring the final fatality rate down to less than 1%.
