I figure we are all going to be exposed. The lockdown right now is solely to prevent everyone that is going to be symptomatic from getting it at the same time, overwhelming our medical system. Like death itself, it needs to progress at a manageable rate through the population.
That seems to be what’s going on. Unfortunately there are going to be a lot of people who don’t know that and are expecting a preventative; they’re going to be looking for someone to blame when they eventually get it.
This is what we’ve been trying to say for a month now.
The percent this or that doesn’t really matter. The only question is do we have enough hospital beds, icu beds and ventilators for whoever needs them when they’re needed. Including heart attacks, strokes, accident victims, traumatic childbirths, etc.
And for this we took much abuse over ‘it’s just a bad cold’.
