Coronavirus: World Leaders Now In Panic Mode

Probably not a good idea...mainly because I think “the plan” is correct that we need a little leakage to eventually gain herd immunity.
Of course, “the plan” has not been explained by any public official at all, so the public is justifiably confused about _what_ is going on...

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo issued an emergency order Monday directing hospitals to increase their capacity by 50% as coronavirus cases across the state surged 38% overnight to 20,875.
New York is the hardest-hit state in the country, ahead of New Jersey, California and Washington state, Cuomo said. New York City, alone, accounts for 12,305 confirmed infections, he said.
“This could go on for several months,” Cuomo said. Roughly 13% of all cases have been hospitalized so far, 621 of the patients have ended up in the ICU and 157 people have died, he said.

MILWAUKEE — A third death from coronavirus has been reported in Milwaukee Count according to Commissioner of Health Jeanette Kowalik.
An African-American male in his 50s passed away on March 20, 2020 from complications of COVID-19, according to Kowalik.

Michigan Chief Medical Executive Dr. Joneigh Khaldun announced Monday the state has 15 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19.
Khaldun spoke during a news conference alongside Gov. Gretchen Whitmer as the governor announced a stay-at-home order. The health chief said the state now has 1,232 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The current 15 days might be enough.
This might be due to the fact that we might have treatment in place soon. If the drug treatment works it will be like the flu.
That is a big if. I do think New York City and other hot spots needs to stay in lock down. All schools should remain close for the rest of the year.
Restaurants need to force good heath standards (they should be already but dont) and sick people need to stay home from work. Maybe the Government can provide small business help on sick employee pay to stay home until the virus is gone.
