A few days ago, nice warm weather, I walked around the block for fresh air and exercise. Six sets of people were sitting on front steps (10 or more feet from sidewalk) or front patios. Had some nice conversations at 10 feet distance. People walking by on sidewalks were respectful about maintained good social distance of at least 6 to 8 feet. It depends on the community, some are careful and respectful and some are not. Children will have to be taught this discipline or kept home.

Exactly. Thank you for posting about your experience.

Agreed. D, C, zinc, magnesium, selenium and a general multi here. (Also get plenty of calcium.) Plus a little daily early garden prep. Make sure to get sleep and keep a solid attitude too. I am not near 81 yet—but hope to get there.

And many Rheumatoid Arthritis patients. Add those folks, too.

My wife is a kidney and lupus researcher. All of her patients take it daily. They must be past some threshold to get into the studies...

I saw that, on the last thread.

I like how they’re set up head/foot, rather than side by side.

I think this sets up better, for all.

I wonder if putting clothes/hats/gloves/masks into the dryer and heating for 5 or 10 minutes would do the trick?

In the Italy and U.S. Total columns - What is being totaled?

Is it a total to date or some sort of difference that is being totaled?

I’m having a hard time feeling bad that the elites are not exempt from this, although we all know they will get premier, top rated healthcare.

just leave them in your car for a few days..

I am quarantining or washing all things coming into my house

and for those of you that didnt see my post about this:

low LDH can cause zombie limbs. i know this from personal experience...seems diabetes people sometimes have issues with low ldh and zombie limbs, too.

if you are mega dozing Vitamin C it can lower ldh...so since Zombie limbs can be a sign of Wuhan you just have to be aware of all things...

i had zombie legs yesterday but I had also taken lipsomal c the last couple of days

China at least has to compensate us for downplaying the risk internationally and privately to our President. We should have been immediately informed that our main supplier of medical equipment was experiencing a pandemic outbreak. It would have saved thousands of lifes and unknowable levels of economic damage. Cancel the debt notes they hold.

After they are sick, people often get up when they feel better and go back to work or do other things. They should stay in bed at least a day longer, and be gently active for several days after.

TX Gov. Abbott presser: 330 cases, 6 deaths (500 cases presumptive and Lackland AFB not included)

Finally got the tests and are testing. Still inadequate supply.

Waived requirements for nurses. Nursing students and retired nurses can work. Fast tracks permits for out of state professionals.

No elective surgeries.

No private hospital rooms. More than one patient per room.

Task force organized to look globally for CV supplies. More beds and more staff. Get daycare facilities for healthcare workers.

Violators of stay home orders can be fined up to $1000 and jail time. (and right now some people and their dog just went by in a boat)

Local level governments can make stricter rules. (and another boat just went by)

NG to help hospitals with drive thru testing, setting up medical tents, get closed medical facilities re-opened, etc.

State Health guy - TX in early community spread. No idea when peak will come.

Questions:

Back to Abbott - No idea when schools will be opened. Anyone willing to get us PPEs, he will cut them a check on the spot.

It’s masks he describes disinfecting:

“To clean and reuse masks, place in oven at 70oC = 160oF for 30-60min, or expose both sides in a UV
sterilizer. Alcohol is not recommended”
