MIT is THE PLACE if you want to enter into academic medicine (eg. MD-PhD) or you are interested in research in biomedical engineering or biotechnology
The man is FULLY QUALIFIED to discuss this science.
The title on this thread is misleading in reference to a disease: He is not a medical doctor, which is presumed in such phrasing.
As to entering academic medicine, he never went to med school and has never treated a patient as an MD.
