The title on this thread is misleading in reference to a disease: He is not a medical doctor, which is presumed in such phrasing.
As to entering academic medicine, he never went to med school and has never treated a patient as an MD.

Not misleading at all when a person is interested in research in biomedical engineering or biotechnology.
Again the man is HIGHLY QUALIFIED on the science of the immune system.
