Just a personal side-track for those who care. If you don’t keep scrolling.
This morning I woke up able to breathe out my nose for the first time since Wednesday. I wound up getting a cold or something that made me blow my nose every nanosecond. That’s much better now. Chest felt a little more tight than usual but not unexpected when I get this every few years. I will admit that at first when I felt myself getting sick I was just a bit worried. Over a few hours I realized I was not exhibiting the signs of the Chinese bioweapon.
My wife may be getting what I had, I’m not sure yet, this despite me lysoling everything I touched.
I still have 16 rolls of toilet paper so I don’t expect to have to use Democrats if I run out.
We put in for our meat order with American Frozen Foods. Beyond restaurant grade meat. I expect delivery this coming week and it fill fill our freezer. Social distancing at it’s finest. Oh, and we’re getting a cheesecake too. I’m going to film that mofo for FB. Just to be a Richard cranium.
Despite being kind of sick, and with my wife assisting, all of our flower beds, of which there are many, have been cleaned up for Spring. I’ve been raking up the twenty billion acorns up off the lawn despite me doing do so last fall. I’ve also been preparing the side yard for re-establishment of an actual lawn where we got the septic system redone a couple years ago. The fishwyfe wouldn’t let me get it hydrosprayed so I have to spend more money to prevent the crabgrass while being able to grow grass from seed in the same area. Tenacity. Google that shiite.
I’ve also been replenishing my wood supply during all this. I’m doing pretty well, I have two eight foot racks to do and I’ll be back to two and half full cords for next season.
The worst part about all this is my wife isn’t going out to her dance class on Thor’s Day night so I can practice my drums. We’ll have to compromise on that. Since my wife is Italian and Greek that’s like negotiating with a Klingon.
I got my 2013 Dodge Challenger (yeah, it’s got a hemi) back on the road. I was then having issues with it telling me the passenger door was ajar (it’s not a jar it’s a door) when it was clearly closed. The car alarm went off by itself a couple times, etc. Then it wouldn’t start. The car was telling me it wasn’t in Park even though it’s a manual transmission. No warning light for the battery. I decided to charge the battery anyway. Problem solved. Way and stuff! Getting that replaced. Seven years, not bad.
I’m now working from home full time. My wife and I are trying not to do serious harm to each other. I’m in the travel industry despite being a software engineer. Two weeks ago we had our best day of the year selling airline tickets to Spring Breakers and students trying to get home. From here on in I pray I keep my job.
Well, I have a ton more but I’ll leave it with that. Back to drinking from my fully stocked bar. No runs on the liquor stores yet.
