Regarding the JFK, Jr, appearance on Jay Leno’s show:
He says something like:
Being the editor of a political magazine you’re able to be in politics without being in politics. It sort of like the vice president.
Unless I am just not paying attention properly, I can’t see how that would “make you go hmm”. Gore was Clinton’s VP at the time.
People have made jokes about the vice president’s role for as long as I can remember. During my lifetime, anyway, vice presidents have usually been almost invisible.
The VP when JFK, Sr, was murdered was Lyndon Johnson, and many believe he was involved in the assassination plot.
I have seen hypotheses that place George H W Bush in Dallas when JFK, Sr, was killed. Bush would later be VP to Reagan. I am not seeing any viable links here to his remark on Leno’s show.
