It's an indicator.
It could be dead.
It could be accounts canceled to save money in hard times.
I'm told China Mobile doesn't have contracts, but charges based on usage.
It could be with limited access (CCP shutdown of cell phones?) people simply aren't able to rack up minutes and data?
It could be that a LOT of people have fled out of China Mobile's coverage? We do know almost half the residents of Wuhan got out of dodge right before the quarantine.
That's a lot of missing subscribers no matter the cause!
“8.11 million disappeared cell phones points to the true numbers of dead in China”
People could have gotten rid of their phones to block China from tracking them. China uses cellphones for tracking people. Example to know where the known infected people are.
That’s a lot of missing subscribers no matter the cause!
````
and a lot of big cell phone piles near the crematoriums ...
You may want to chip in here...
Proportionally, 8MM/1.4bn = 0.57%. For perspective, this loss of life would equate to 1.9MM in the US and 286k in Hubei. Thats big, and it would would get YUGE airtime even on Social Media. China isnt NK; word would get out. Parenthetically, only 68k got Coronavirus in Hubei.
Im always skeptical of items in a language I dont speak. I searched for this story online and found a Reddit link, but the Mods pulled it with this commentary:
What this seems to be getting at is those people died. What is happening here is that people are canceling their phone plans to save money during an economic crisis. This is an economic impact of the virus, not proof of millions of deaths.
I think THAT is a more plausible explanation. In fact, if it was due to dead people, were assuming that 8MM families went and, in the midst of sorrow, got around to canceling the phone bill of grandma. Further, this chart would call into dispute the claim that massive numbers of dead were piling up prior to January.
I dont want to go on the cart either, but I'll spend my time on the US data for now.
Bingo.
I think we have finally detected the incidence of totalitarian communism in China.
