I’ve been ordering online from Harris Teeter (also Wake County) and then go pick it up. Under typical conditions, it takes about 4 hours for them to fill an order. Now, my orders are taking a week, if they can even fill them at all. Same for Publix here.
We had one in the house I lived in for a long time.
It was just a closed off area in the basement.
I thought ours was kind of cool.
We have a new house in NH and the basement is one big open area, but mr. mm was asking me if I’d like one cause he could portion off part of the basement and build it in a corner so it would have outside walls and would not be heated.
Canned foods store much better in the dark and chilly temps.
I’ll be doing as much outside work as I can today. We have a barn to clean out, but it’s not being used for animals. It’s to store mr. mm’s junk and for us to work on messy projects.
Since tomorrow is supposed to be cold again, I’ll save the indoor work for then.
No, just use the straight hard white wheat.
The soft white wheat is not so good for bread. So make sure if you buy any, that it’s the hard.
A word of advice.
Your digestive system will not be used to it. As addictive as the bread is, you need to start slow with it and be aware than it’s high in roughage and can speed things up. It’s good for what ails you.
We gave a loaf to a friend and they loved it. The husband had a couple slices and it hit while they were driving home from somewhere. He barely made it home.
But it's PERFECT for biscuits...
I think that will be the case for MANY people these days.
The bright side to this is that it has shown people that they cannot depend on the government to provide for them.
At least, those of us who have been long time preppers can point this out to them and use this as a good object lesson for why we cannot depend on the government to take care of us.
I’ll keep that in mind.
Thank you.
No, I don’t but I’ve heard rave reviews of it.
My sister lives in SC and has been planning on coming up for a visit. We’ll see how that goes.
Anyways, I asked her to bring up some bags of it.
I will remind her again if/when she comes up.
Why bother? Since we are in full “Go Communist” mode, the States already have anti-hoarding laws they can use to enter your home and take your stocked foods and supplies.
All BS. This virus is no stronger than the flu or the common cold. China used it as a means to squash the anti-communist protesters and the US media and communists are using it to squash our economy and take over.
The White Lily store shelves after metmom's sister stocks up on her way north...
I have a big family????
US media and communists are using it to squash our economy and take over.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Yes, that’s war. Even you can’t tell.
The problem in rural areas is they have one grocery store for the entire county. People from the cities are coming in groups and like locusts, are clearing out the shelves with $1500+ receipts each. There is nothing left for the locals.
Last night, the only grocery store in San Saba County, TX burned. Now, they have nothing but a Dollar General and a couple convenience stores for food so there is no meat or vegetables. Don’t know the cause of the fire but it’s suspicious to me. There are sickos out there who would get their jollies from doing such.
Me too.
Don’t you love it?
