The problem in rural areas is they have one grocery store for the entire county. People from the cities are coming in groups and like locusts, are clearing out the shelves with $1500+ receipts each. There is nothing left for the locals.
Last night, the only grocery store in San Saba County, TX burned. Now, they have nothing but a Dollar General and a couple convenience stores for food so there is no meat or vegetables. Don’t know the cause of the fire but it’s suspicious to me. There are sickos out there who would get their jollies from doing such.
I cannot fathom why the grocery store would allow $1500 orders.
They could have put a one cartload per person limit on it.
I liked the reports of stores where the manager was letting in only the locals he knew who were regular shoppers.
