With the Chinese coronavirus panic going on and all sorts of efforts being made to stop people from dying, the abortion lobby is worried about what else making sure they can keep killing preborn babies in a timely manner.
The pro-abortion American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists put out a joint statement with other organizations on March 18 that said they do not support COVID-19 responses that cancel or delay abortion procedures. They recommended, Community-based and hospital-based clinicians should consider collaboration to ensure abortion access is not compromised during this time. Yes, thats what time and effort should be spend collaborating on; ensuring death.
There is a genuine disconnect between doctors trying to save the weak and vulnerable elderly that coronavirus seems to target most in one room while killing the weak and vulnerable in the womb that abortion targets in another.
The National Abortion Federation (NAF) predictably released a statement on March 17 calling on leaders [to] treat outpatient abortion providers as essential businesses and calling elective abortion an essential health service. Can you imagine? The whole world is saying to shut down everything and they want to be sure the abortion factories run at full throttle. NAF said:
Abortion is provided for almost one in five pregnancies in the United States, as part of the continuum of pregnancy care. It is an essential health service. An individual and family decide to end a pregnancy for a complex constellation of reasons that include the impact of pregnancy and birth on their health, ability to work, and strained economic circumstances. These are conditions that do not go awayand are likely heightenedin pandemic conditions. Denying or deferring abortion care places an immediate burden on patients, their families, and the health system, and can have profound and lasting consequences.
Saying that abortion is on the continuum of pregnancy care is positively orwellian. Then there's the monstrous logic that calls pregnant woman an immediate burden on the health system, so lets kill all the unborn to prevent a health care shortage.
Of course, the media is getting in on the act, too. HuffPost worried on March 17 Abortion Access Is Under Threat As Coronavirus Spreads. Never letting a good crisis go to waste, HuffPost allowed an abortionist to rail against pro-life abortion clinic regulations as unsafe during a pandemic:
Ghazaleh Moayedi, an abortion provider and board member with Physicians for Reproductive Health, noted that TRAP laws, which stands for targeted regulation of abortion providers, are actually making patients less safe during the coronavirus outbreak.
In Texas, patients are forced to make multiple trips to the clinic for unnecessary counseling and ultrasounds, she said. Every visit creates another opportunity for the virus to spread.
This was a common theme. In a Q&A on coronavirus and reproductive health, a fellow with Physicians for Reproductive Health told pro-abortion outlet Rewire News that abortion regulations put women at risk for COVID-19:
No one should have to risk their health or the health of their families by traveling on public transportation, wait in waiting rooms, or listen to a state-mandated scripts to obtain an abortion pill. Hostile states where people are punished for having an unplanned pregnancy now also put them at risk for COVID-19 given the extra travel and extra office visits. In the end, this endangers their families and communities, too, as it promotes spread of the virus.
A Canadian article on the impact of the coronavirus on daily life featured quotes from abortionists defending the abhorrent practice that is elective 98.3 percent of the time as essential.
We do not see abortion services as elective, said the executive director of a Toronto abortion clinic. They are an essential service, and our goal is to maintain operations while maintaining staff and client safety as much as possible. That clinic made the heartbreaking decision to no longer allow patients in to bring a support person.
The president and CEO of the National Abortion Federation, who goes by the Very Reverend Katherine Ragsdale, said, Yes, its not bleeding out on the floor, youre not having a stroke, youre not having a heart attack. You can schedule your treatment, but its not elective in that it cant be put off indefinitely without serious health and life consequences. Yes, there are literally life consequences, as in, a life will be saved if abortion is put off indefinitely. Sounds like the healthiest outcome to me.
At a time when theres death and destruction all around us, lets do everything we can to save lives instead of take them.
Have any states actually shut down abortion clinics? Even those run by pro-life politicians?
Yet every state has shut down churches.
My dentist could not see me this week! Yet these baby killers want to keep on keeping on!
We need to find out how many are still open.
All of them are still open. Abortion is the health of the state, apparently.
If on a state level they cancel all elective surgical procedures, I would think that it would include abortions except in a case of endangerment of the mother’s life.
The devil worshippers of the abortion god, Molech, believe that it’s the only way to defeat the virus so the “sacrifices” MUST continue. /s
Libs are a virus...the demavirus!!!
Big deal. They “don’t support” it. I don’t support these babykilling pricks, either
More babies will be killed this year by abortion than by the ChiCom Flu.
