They (homeless) may be a relatively tough nut for the virus to initially crack. The primary alpha spreaders are/were international travelers and there isn’t a lot of interchange between the sets.

I see the homeless acquisition of it coming from exchange of money or items with non homeless, or the staff of shelters transferring it into the population. Once in the population it’s going to probably spread at a rate slower than that of populations that have or had higher clustering activities.

Anyone else catch this?

Someone asked POTUS if ships would be used to provide “hospital beds”. POTUS said he would call it “places to stay”. That’s not a direct quote, but my best recollection of what he said.

My reaction: Wow. You could call prison cells “places to stay”. Could that be it? Or is it a more benign interpretation that they would just be used for non-medical quarantine for people who don’t have symptoms or need treatment?
