Disappointing results from a study, looking at Lopinavir–Ritonavir for #COVID19 infection.
“In hospitalized adult patients with severe Covid-19, no benefit was observed with lopinavir–ritonavir treatment beyond standard care.”
“As we discussed earlier, you do _not_ want to stock up during the “gaps”—that is when the flubros will be celebrating victory and infecting themselves and everybody else.”
Well, as I see it, there will be two lifestyles for the next 2 or 3 years - the first one will be the lines we see at Costco, those are the FluBros. The second lifestyle will be when the FluBros retreat and start, once again, claiming it was all a big hoax, because the stores are able to build up their stock and infection rates have leveled off. So they’re sitting fat (maybe not as fat), dumb, and happy, in their little fantasy world - thinking that the shelves will ALWAYS stay full, just as they were a week ago.
...but then the next wave hits, and we’re back to heading towards another full lockdown - that’s when they’ll again come out in force.
So, the key is to get to the stores while the FluBros are ‘celebrating’ what they think is a ‘victory’ over the virus.

You can’t actually bargain, but sometimes if you are at an early stage of understanding, and you are offering something that he really wants you to offer that will get you where he wants you to be . . . deal!
Field report—my wife just came back from her routine weekly grocery shopping trip. I warned her some stuff might be out, so I asked her to “get creative—substitute”.
Missing in action—entire bread aisle, entire chicken section in the meat aisle, paper products aisle.
Everything else was fine.
Guess we will have to suffer and eat steak this week. :-)
