Tonic is watered down quinine. It was. There isn't enough quinine in modern tonic water to anything but add a sight bitterness. Anyone buying tonic water for medicinal purpose is wasting their time and money. And good gin doesn't need tonic water to provide its medicinal benefits...

It’s best in the late spring, early summer when the windows are open. Piano, violin, opera everywhere.
Everything is taking on a poignant edge at the present time. I made what might very well be my last visit to work today, before the lockdown is in place. Nothing is certain yet.
I appreciate New York even more than before because it will never be the same ever again.

From what I've seen, those who are screaming, "don't panic over this", are the ones who are panicking. I may be panicking later, but for now, I'm confident after the actions president Trump and his administration have put in place, including pushing our healthcare industry to develop treatments, vaccines, removing regulations, tasking the financial entities and congress to develop plans and legislation to address this, give me a quiet resolve that we're going to beat the crap out of this Corona virus. We may even come out on the other side stronger and less divided as a country.
Seeing the numbers from countries who have successfully "flattened the curve" gives me the knowledge it can be controlled. If Coronavirus turns out to be no more fatal than the flu, it will be because of the effort which went into defeating it. But count on those who said, "it's just the flu", to say, "See, I TOLD you it was just the Flu!".

Good. Don’t want anyone visiting.

Agree on the gin.
I could use some Tanqueray right now.

So I sent an email to out water co and they said they do not test for viruses, and that no virus would survive their chlorination and chemical process. So, of course, my follow up question was, are your chemicals sourced in the US
Ill let yall know what they say.

Just heard back - all chemicals are sourced in the US except chlorine which they generate themselves at their plant 👍

Sure it will. It might be a while though.

I think its an ingredient (or co-molecule, if you will). Not sure where I saw more details, but basically, yes.

Everyone who can afford it is moving out to safer ground. Those with second homes. I’d be on Fire Island if I still had my house there.
To: firebrand
Just be careful & try to stock up if you can.
To: ETCM
Good system, for Swiss.
They sure seem to be doing something right.
Thanks!

Maybe NY will come out better, for and after this.
Praying so, anyway.

Are you in the city?
We had a trip scheduled, in a few weeks. Obviously cancelled, now.
We have friends and family there.
