You need to read the Missing 411 series, they are fascinating!

As for boogers as we call them in the mountains. I don’t know where I stand on them. I live in the mountains and have had weird stuff happen over the years that I can’t explain. Could something like that exist, I guess, we are always finding new species around the world, so I don’t rule them out completely.

A few years back a big boy over 300lbs came out of the woods near my house. Our Irish Setter nearly knocked my 9 yr old son down charging in front of him to get between him and the bear. The hound and bear were 10 feet apart and neither backing down. My son came running in the house a bear is going to kill Katie!!! The bear was doing the huffing and clicking those huge teeth, and the dog was bearing her teeth, hair raised on her neck, standing her ground.

I thought this isn’t going to end well and got the shotgun and put a round into the ground and dog ran toward the porch and my wife grabbed her by the collar and they ran in the house. The bear just looked at me like your play man. I racked the .12 gauge and put another round into the ground and the bear slowly turned and ambled off into the woods. He was a big boy!

Had a friend who said his two dogs put him between them and the bear, then started to bark.

I have them in my yard almost daily. If you try tracking one they will bring you through the worst thickets you can imagine and you may never catch another glimpse of them.

It took Bigfoot to break the news cycle from the Chinese racist killer virus.

Now the media is going to medieval on BF. Poor guy. Probably has family too.

David Palides deals in missing w/o reasonable explanation. He’s a former police officer investigator. He is aware of bigfoot but doesn’t believe bf has anything to do with missing people such as you mentioned.
If anybody is interested in the topic, Palides has several Missing 411 books out. He asks that folks buy through him because amazon ups the prices so that they get a cut of the profits.

I absolutely love bigfoot stories..i listen to dixie cryptid, buckeye bigfoot, bigfoot files, howtohunt.com ..both hunting ans sasquatch related. There’s another one I just began listening to..a fella with an elglish or aussie accent but in the states. He does hour long or better interviews with eye witnesses. All can be found on youtube..but I will have to come back with the name of the radio/ hour long one. Its a fun way to spend some down time. And ISP’s are eliminating data caps so there’s something to do online.

I listened to Bob G. Today for the first time. Good stories but I'm not especially fond of his presentation. I may listen more when I run out of my favorite sources ! 😅

The sounds aren’t the same. And if one is familiar with wolves, there’s a difference there, too. Some sound close to a vixen in heat but that gets all twisted around when the call ends with a whoop, whoop!

I used to hear them at night frequently when I lived on a ridge top in Washougal, WA. I heard them a few times in FL when I lived next to the Brooker Creek Preserve in Oldsmar, FL. IMO they can do strange things so I now make it a point to avoid their areas if possible.

Around 2008 I encountered some human-like tracks inside the south end of the Brooker Creek Preserve. My house bordered the preserve. I had a second story bedroom facing the preserve and I’d heard noises at night over the past month so I wanted to investigate possible sources of the noises. I went to the general area I thought I’d heard the noises at night. That’s where I encountered the ‘foot’ tracks. The tracks were about a quarter mile in and a few hundred feet away from the main dirt road, nearby a side road. They were in the general area where I thought I’d heard unusual noises at night. It’d rained a few weeks back so the ground had been muddy. The tracks went into a water area that had dried up. In the dried mud there were impressions that looked like someone was down on all fours. The impressions were rounded, no sharp edges so I believe they were made in shallow water. There were impressions for toes, shins, knees then forearms further up. I had a good quality Cannon digital SLR with me and took a photo of the impressions from behind. On the way out, off to my right along the main dirt road and in some deep cover something growled at ground level as I approached. It was a deeper growl than a cougar’s. It could have been a bear I guess but this was at ground level and I’m not sure a bear would do that. It was quite deep and menacing and as the sun was setting I avoided the area.

When I reviewed the photos on my computer all the photos came out except the all-fours photo. It was present but it was all-white. The entire photo was simply bright white, no variation. The camera had never did that before or since. And there was no way was I going back to take another shot. In fact I never went back to that area again.

That was nice of them lol! Reminds me of the dog in the movie Patton when his dog William cowered behind the general when an ankle bitter yapped at him. Patton renamed him Willie lol!

She was a fine hound for the family, very protective and good watch dog. She had her barks for, it’s the meter reader, it’s a deer. Then there were the get your butt out here something is amiss bark! Sadly she lived 13 yrs. and passed away last summer from old age.

My wife decided to get another dog and we ended up with two white german shepherd rescue pups around 10 months old. They are huge and total wuss bags as watch dogs. Only one will bark and then only at my daughters boyfriends truck-not his car. And they try and climb in to ride if anyone opens their car door in the driveway. Big goobers!
