“I honestly had no idea just how MANY Americans dont have 2 or 3 weeks of their stuff at home.”
I was at the local Save Mart for organic Greek yogurt, (plain, of course) and could easily overhear a young woman still in her workout outfit telling her girlfriend over the blue tooth that she had to pick up groceries and water...because she had no food in the house.
She was dragging to young children with her.
BTW, there was a glut of Greek yogurt in the cooler.

I made my last trip to the grocery stores today including walmart. Panic buying has officially set in here in the boonies. Canned goods, pasta and sauce, big bagged cereal and any healthy boxed cereal, rice and of course paper products wiped out. Exceptions were split pea soup and clam chowder. Went to a grocery store a mile down the road and they had plenty of canned veggies but most soups were gone, no potatoes, no rice or paper products.
I walked around walmart with a smile on my face because I had already slowly stocked up over the past 2-3 weeks. One woman said, Have you ever seen such a thing. I said, Not for a while. Saw it when I lived in FL right before a hurricane.
Only thing we still need is a few gallons of milk but we can get those whenever over the next week.
