If I could participate in blood drives, I would, even though I want to go out as rarely as possible. I can’t, however, due to a history of cancer — happened over 30 years ago, but I still have a lifetime ban on donating blood. Meanwhile, homosexual men who have been celibate for 6 months can donate. What can you do?

I had a friend who was in a bad wreck and received almost as much blood as the entire body contains so I tried to give blood to credit his account. I passed out. Woke up with a black woman/nurse slapping the hell out of me saying wake up John. She said you gonna have to find some other way to help your friend because this ain’t for you. I’ve passed out when I get a bad cut. Didn’t happen when I was young
