Someone posted a map, yesterday, of the US coronavirus cases compared to a map of Dem stronghold areas.

Matched, almost identically.

All this talk of heaters

We have one of these Fisher Wood Stoves. It's been our only source of heat for coming up on ten years and I could make it 120+ degrees in here if I wanted even if it was zero degrees outside. It's a bit of work maintaining a constant temp but I've got it down pretty well. Makes such nice heat. My son is starting to take over that task and also helps with firewood which we have 15 acres of. Hard to judge the size by this pic(not my pic) but it's 24" wide. When it's cold out and the stove is kicking, our 12 inch cast iron skillet is the best bacon cooker ever. Just rotate the pan 180 occasionally. No hot spot in the center like on a range/stove burner. I've made pizza, cornbread and cake on it. The lid to one of those little round Brinkman smokers fits well on the front of the wood stove to make an oven. Bought the wood stove in Florida of all places for $250. It's a Papa Bear and I also have a Grandpa Bear in my shop. I need to get a new cast iron dutch oven without legs to use on the Papa Bear. I have one with legs and have used it on an outdoor fire. We also have a two burner Coleman camp stove that will go 2-3 months on a 20 lb propane bottle. We can always cook.

Meant to add.....Texas’ map seems to be following suit.

I think you’d be better off buying extra packs of Kleenex for TP. I’ve actually used Kleenex in that way before. Paper towels would likely clog your toilet eventually.

Our store has never stocked Lysol laundry. I looked at Wallyworld and couldn’t find it weeks ago.

I sent my youngest a YUGE (Costco) box of kleenex, since they (Costco.com) were out of TP.

I figured it would maybe come in handy, one way, or another.

GA - Hospital Field Report

2 confirmed 12 suspected

Test results have been pending for up to 6 days for some suspected cases. Medical staff are very upset at the delays.

Materials Department unable to source wipes. They just aren’t out there. Very short on masks, gowns, face shields.

Hand sanitizer continues to be stolen from our facility. We are now locking down the dispensers.

After two days of short tempers throughout it seems staff are adjusting/accepting and keeping their sense of humor as well as working very, very hard to provide excellent patient care.

We are very concerned about supply shortages. We do expect testing to accelerate. If it doesn’t we have a Charlie Foxtrot situation.

I ordered it at Wallyworld.com, weeks ago.

Our HEB actually had the small bottles (several weeks ago) so, I bought a few of those, too.

The NG won’t have to worry about me. I’m staying put right here in my little hovel. No problem.

Thanks for the field report.

Scary, all of the shortages.

God bless you and your coworkers, on the front lines.

VERY frustrating....the testing delay.

Keep us posted.

Yep, a veritable mix of Kaci Hickoxes, Nancy Snydermans and well-off cruise ship cruisers.

"James Robb, MD FCAP regarding Coronavirus: “The only way for the virus to infect you is through your nose or mouth via your hands or an infected cough or sneeze onto or into your nose or mouth.”

I guess. Except it can remain airborne for up to 3 hours. And it's present in urine and feces. In fact, when a person is very symptomatic, it's more present in the feces than in the mouth and nasal droplets.

So when you walk down that grocery aisle, and someone was coughing and sneezing there an hour ago, or you walk into the public restroom, and it stinks to high heaven, well . . . , are you wearing a properly fitted and effect mask and goggles? A gown would help a lot, too.

“If it makes males sterile”

Tell that to the Florida Spring Break morons and they’ll clear out pronto.

Looking around the news sites this morning, there were still plenty of flubro “it’s a hoax!” in the comments.

Notice from your link page five table one. It shows those that have symptoms which have been checked by qualified personal.

When H1N1 pandemic took place they estimated how many people attracted the virus. This is the first time that I'm aware of that they don't take a full count then figure out the rates of hospitalization requirements and death rates.
