said, "French Polynesia and Sudan were a sweltering 90 degrees today so they should have been disease free in what, 2 days?"

yes in two days the virus will stop reproducing. but NOT in those conditions you gave. As people try to stay cool.
Our nasal cavities operate at a temperature between 91 to 95 deg F. This test shows raising the temperature of the nasal cavities the virus does not reproduce as easily at 98 deg F. Our lungs operate at 97 deg F and isn't the area the virus reproduces.

On Tuesday evening, the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced an additional six positive cases of Covid-19 in Iowa. Three of these are residents of Johnson County and the other three from Adair, Blackhawk and Dallas Counties. These latest positives bring the state’s total to 29.

"Abbott is probably getting close to shutting down portions of the state. Imo, DFW area, Austin and Houston."

Don't forget Bexar County. San Antonio was the first hotspot.

DFW has closed all restaurants. The next two steps others have used is to close all non essential businesses, then shelter in place.

My guess is the CDC is modeling the outbreak and issuing the orders. When the shelter in place order comes, we are probably 5 to 10 days away from maximum healthcare capacity, or the maximum level of infections they are hoping to tolerate, anyhow.

There are steps after the shelter in place they can take, basically martial law steps, but I don't think those will have much more of a slowing effect if people are abiding by the shelter in place.

Person A gets it and carries it for 10 days, with no symptoms, before giving it to person B. Person B can be a carrier for 14 or more days and if they’re young, may never show symptoms. That’s the silent enemy thing they talk about. Person B walks around for a couple of weeks before they give it to persons, C, D, E, F -— X, etc.

14 days not enough. I bet they extend it another two weeks.

Just as I bought a large box of 12 commercial grade paper towel rolls yesterday, as a substitute for t.p., many fellow shoppers were buying single rolls of the same paper towels at $3.99 each, as a substitute for t.p., and others had large packages of napkins, while others had multiple boxes of tissues. Folks were not leaving without something to use for t.p., in spite of the fact that there wasn’t any traditional t.p. to be found anywhere in the store.

Not as quick to update as others, but pretty close. Nice layout. Lots of info on the page without a lot of scrolling.

Interesting how long many of the products, on that updated list, require staying wet and on surface for 10 minutes!!

I didn’t go through EVERY page, but...most of the ones with isopropyl only require 30 seconds.

Trump - Canadian border close to all non essential travel.

TX

Burnet Co. has cancelled the Bluebonnet Festival.

James Robb, MD FCAP regarding Coronavirus - clothing will contain infectious virus that can be passed on for up to a week or more - all the surfaces where these droplets land are infectious for about a week on average - The only way for the virus to infect you is through your nose or mouth via your hands or an infected cough or sneeze onto or into your nose or mouth.

I’ll take that as someone’s opinion, but still assume worst case. And that is because the spread of this virus has been underestimated by EVERYONE, including China.

Just saw that, about our closing the Canadian border....but, that trade will not be affected. What about our SOUTHERN border??

Wondering how infected clothing cannot pose a problem.

I did see one of the agency’s ‘disinfecting processes’ had said to NOT shake suspected infected clothing, as that can ‘loosen’ the virus. :(

We purchased Lysol laundry disinfectant, and have been using that, on clothing that’s been worn “out there”.

I haven’t looked through it completely yet. 10 minutes is a long time to keep something wet

Notice in your second video which was in the link I gave. At 7:15 in the video he describes what I've been saying.
That is zinc ions will enter the cells even without an Ionophore. Which shows it can be used as a preventative. With an ionophores the zinc ion greatly increases it's effectiveness.

I've been saying that there are other ionophores that are not as effective as hydroxychloroquine that can be found over the counter. One is Quercetin which is found in some foods.

Here is the link look at figure 2: The control without using any ionophores proves Zinc does work to an extent. Because zinc ions are small enough to pass through the walls of the cell without any help.

https://www.houstonchronicle.com/coronavirus/article/texas-coronavirus-map-cases-houston-covid-19-15137466.php - good map with TX counties. Two unknown locations. 129 cases.

Could explain why VP is now asking construction companies to donate N95s.

Scary, considering we were told there would be MILLIONS of masks delivered, to HC facilites, this week.

:-(
