As unrealistic as many of the preppers are in some ways, most of them aren't planning on selling their supplies. I'm not a prepper but do try to save just enough in advance to maybe get through a difficult time.
With an epidemic knocking on our national door, maybe the producers and supermarkets should have provided more items of some kinds a few weeks in advance. They had more than enough warning and shouldn't want their businesses full of infected people a week or two from now.

Yeah, after the Northridge quake we became “preppers” of a sort. You have to assume in Earthquake country (or hurricane or tornado areas) you should always provision for at least 2 weeks.
But I am on the road and it did not occur to me that I need to provision.
When this insanity clears I will provision accordingly. There IS a Costco nearby so I can TCB.
