A Walmart employee in the Midwest said that a truck came in with toilet paper and food. The trucks with those items usually arrive four or five days per week, but lately, they’ve only been about half full.
The toilet paper was gone in less than a half hour, and the food was cleaned out quickly. Zombies walked around the store for several more hours, searching for anything they might decide to want. Weird, huh? HQ said that store mgrs. can go back to limits on TP (one pkg. per customer) and other products (many with polite requests instead of firm statements). Cashiers are enforcing the TP limit.
Rumor has it, that the store is going to fall back to 7am to 8:30 hours now. Don’t know the accuracy of that, yet. Makes sense. Otherwise, not enough employees for restocking and cleaning overnight before the next zombie flood.
Welcome to the party, pal.
I read they are shutting down the auto service bays and using those workers for logistics.
Report was, by the way, that the store was so crowded, that employees could not avoid being within less than a foot from customers’ faces most of the time. Zombies!
think people....we're like little mice in a maze, acting just like our masters want us to act...buy, buy, buy...
I was told the same and forgot. Thanks! The automotive people at this one are reportedly going to help with stocking other departments and other tasks.
We live less than a few miles from the Life Care Center and the Hospital that had the first deaths near Seattle. I was out today to shop and it wasn’t very crowded so that was good.
Costco and the grocery store had bread, milk, eggs, produce. Not much frozen food at the grocery store. No TP or paper towels, but we have a bunch. Was a pretty light day shopping, just some fresh produce, hot dog buns and some basics at Costco.
More people had on masks, and several with masks and googles (including me).
One guy (30 years younger than me) thought I was nuts:
“Hey man - you’re all worried about the virus, that ain’t nothin’.

You SHOULD be worried about the 5G wireless with your phone.”
!!!!
I didn’t say anything. Later of course I thought “No worries - my cap and the my coat are lined with tin-foil.”
