(L.A.) Mayor Garcetti announces new measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19

On March 15, Mayor Garcetti put in place temporary restrictions to stop large numbers of people from gathering and staying in close proximity. These new restrictions will be effective through March 31, 2020, unless they are extended.

These include the temporary closure to the public, within the City of Los Angeles, of the following:

All bars and nightclubs that do not serve food; All movie theaters, live performance venues, bowling alleys, and arcades; All gyms and fitness centers; All private social clubs; In addition, all restaurants and retail food facilities will be prohibited from serving food to dine-in customers.

There are a few important notes and exceptions to the above order:

Restaurants, as well as bars and nightclubs that serve food, may continue to prepare and offer food to customers via delivery service or take-out; Houses of worship are urged to limit large gatherings on their premises and to explore and implement ways to practice their respective faiths while observing social distancing practices; Cafeterias in hospitals, nursing homes, or similar facilities will be allowed to continue operations; Grocery stores, pharmacies, and food banks will also be allowed to continue operations;

Everything we do right now will determine the outcome of this crisis. By keeping a safe distance from one another at this time, we can help to slow the spread of COVID-19 and avoid putting a dangerous strain on our hospitals and healthcare workers.

Following are some of cities near Los Angeles:

Burbank, Glendale, West Hollywood, Alhambra, Torrance, Long Beach, Santa Monica, Culver City, Beverly Hills

I checked the websites of those cities...None of them mentioned closing of restaurants and theaters...

I am aware that California Governor mentioned shutting down restaurants...But, he was not issuing orders...

I guess you could still go to the In-and-Out Burger place in Glendale on Monday and eat inside...

I regularly go to a gym located in City of Los Angeles...
On Monday, I have to find out if I could go to some gym outside City of Los Angeles for a few weeks.
This gym has many branches in California...

NOPE 40 million population and 340 positive cases I just can’t believe that the people of this country are accepting this, we are much closer to losing this republic than I EVER imagined this has been so easy for them to accomplish extremely sad!! I give this two weeks. If the cases don’t go up DRAMATICALLY then the jig is up. Problem is that there will be civil unrest before that. Which in turn will force the powers to turn the screws even tighter.

Anybody that experienced the L.A. riots in 92 can see how society breaks down. Reasonable people don’t riot but since 92 this country has a lot more unreasonable people. Illegals,gangs,homeless etc. LAPD couldn’t handle the riots. The National guard was called out. This time,if it happens,it would be a lot bigger.
