Basically, if the feds won’t do what’s needed, the states will. Either way, it works out for the best.
Maybe this is leadership? What happens if the naysayers are wrong? Or look at this another way, we see New York and Ohio governors taking decisive action. More so in this regards than Trump (fact, not criticism. Trump said okay if people stay home, etc., but is not making it policy). What if it all gets worse and their early action saves people from getting sick. Trump then gets the blame for comparable inaction. On the other hand, keeping up with the Jones may mean over reaction and ridicule. Kind of a no win situation. Error on side of caution or not. If not, then proven wrong, foot the blame.

Unfortunately we cannot have both - open congregating with others and the ability of our medical systems to treat people who need it. You can thank China for that, not the governor.

Actually, I am expecting a lot of fast food places to go drive-thru only, if possible. Maybe carryout too. They have the issue of staffing to keep the dining and restroom areas clean.

WTF is the rationale? Is this a virus that only comes out after 9? What is going to happen is that the economy will continue to sink and this will give the Trump coup more ammunition. The impeachment papers are already written. The campaign commercials are already scripted. The typical wavering sensitive voter will vote on emotion,hysteria and misinformation.

So someone walks in with the virus to pick up their take out order. They pass it to the person working the counter who in turn passes it on to the cook who in turn passes it on tp everyone who orders take out.
I think since coronavirus seems only to be really hazardous to us old folks they should lower the drinking age back to 18. Let the kids run wild. And maybe they will stop by to visit us at the quarantine reeducation camps where like Harry Dean Stanton in Red Dawn I can stand at the fence and scream “Avenge me”.

To prevent spread of the virus, she is very concerned about her parents in their 70s and my parents who are 89 and 90. She was scolding my Dad about my parents going to First Watch this morning.
We have cold & flu season every year. But never before have we had a running total, broadcast around the world of everyone who sneezes, or coughs or has the runs. Never before have we had mass testing of the population when their temperature rises 1 degree. And then announce publicly to run up the totals.
What is really going on here?
