It doesnt infect in hot air, no. It is the viral shedding in your air conditioned spaces that infects others.
Your post is thoughtful, but I wanted to throw this in...in regards to the twitter thread in question. The bit about first hand info actually came from the author of the twitter thread...
Regarding the amount of “deaths” when I first read that my eyebrows raised as yes, only some 40 odd people have died in Washington. But I will throw this out...say ten people died in that hospital and people usually do not die in the hospital for those health professionals, or at least not in that short of time. I could see how someone would be affected by the number of deaths, while numerically small, in relative terms for the nurses and doctors, a large number that they don’t see in a year.
What I found interesting was the triage....is it true? Meh...hard to say. Thinking about myself, I hope not, but if this particular hospital is having a lot of sub 60 patients that are having lung problems, then I could see such a triage.
We like to think that Grandma will get the best of care when she goes to the hospital. But the reality of triage will be quite apparent if we don’t get a handle on this thing.
FLORIDA - SCHOOL LUNCHES
Tallahassee, Fla. Saturday afternoon, the U.S. Department of Agriculture granted waivers to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), providing flexibility to allow schools, child care institutions, and community organizations to feed children during the current COVID-19 school closures.
The federal waivers allow FDACS to provide authority to local school districts on alternative methods of delivering nutritious meals, such as grab and go meals, meals available in school pick-up circles, multiple meals (such as breakfast and lunch) picked up at one time, and other methods in non-cafeteria settings, to promote CDC-recommended social distancing. FDACS will also leverage its Summer BreakSpot and Seamless Summer Option non-profit and community partners to ensure Floridas students are fed.
...While Commissioner Fried and FDACS are encouraging all school districts to provide meals throughout the closure, the decision to serve meals during school closures rests with each school district. School districts may begin providing alternative meals as soon as Monday, March 16.
Parents and families should contact their local school district to determine if school meals will be served during this closure, and if so, how meals will be available.
When I heard, many years ago, that most of our garlic comes from China, I decided to grow my own.
It is VERY easy to grow and NOTHING bothers it. It is very worth the garden space.
*************************************************************************************
Garlic is my number one favorite crop. Since I plant it in the fall, it takes up almost no space during the regular season. The amount produced is better than any of the other plants in my garden. Almost zero effort. Plant it, and forget it until it’s time to harvest.
NATIONWIDE - INTERNET ACESS
With schools closed and some people working remotely, use of the internet may be an issue for some people.
There are options available for people who have no access to the internet.
Comcast said in a news release it is making some free offerings...To see the full list of options that Comcast is offering, visit https://corporate.comcast.com/covid-19.
Xfinity WiFi will be free for everyone. WiFi hotspots across the country will be available to anyone who needs them for free, including non-Xfinity internet subscribers. For a map of Xfinity WiFi hotspots, visit www.xfinity.com/wifi.

Google answers naysayers all systems go for a COVID-19 website
On Friday, President Trump announced that engineers at Google were working on a website focused on helping get information out on the coronavirus. By Friday evening the usual suspects in the left-wing media were calling that information a lie, something that President Trump just made up out of thin air and Google didnt even know in advance that he was going to make such an announcement. Guess what happened Saturday evening? Google cleared it all up. Lets just say theres a lot of tweets that have not aged well after that clarification....
The initial reaction by those wishing failure on the Trump administration at the expense of the health of Americans was petty and unhelpful. Instead of criticizing and blaming Trump for a worldwide pandemic it would be nice if the anti-Trump media would take a breath and do some real reporting instead of offering up personal opinions. It will go a long way with the public if reporters would just report on updates and stop wasting energy on trying to do gotcha pieces....
That’s a good number of choices for cooking. Do you also have BBQ grill, Coleman type camping stove, rocket stove, solar oven?
We’ve been reviewing BBQ grills/smokers to replace our current grill which has the bottom rusted out.

In that twitter thread, I sure hope that I’m reading this graph wrong. From what I can tell, she estimates over one million people in the USA between the ages of 70 and 79 will die of Covid-19??!!
I found this little blurb that might explain it - not lower risk from genetics, but based on median age, which is ridiculously low in Africa, due to centuries of war -
“The median population age in the UK is 40.2 and in China it is 37, but this figure is 17.9 in Nigeria, Africas most populous country. If you look at the statistics from China, the people that have worse prognosis are the older people, not necessarily the young, says Stephen.

CANADA
CBC News:
Canada warns travellers to return home amid COVID-19 pandemic
Foreign Affairs Minister François-Philippe Champagne warned on Twitter that commercial travel options might not remain available amid the COVID-19 pandemic, as some countries have already taken measures to stop or sharply limit air traffic
This bears repeating. Through our own actions, as individuals, as communities and as a nation, we can contain this virus to a manageable level. It's not a foregone conclusion that we will fail.
Thanks - I’ve been wondering about that, esp. since China has a sizeable presence in Africa (e.g. mining)
I noticed there that a French cosmetics company is switching over to make hand sanitizer. Need more of that sort of thing here!
“Ive been wondering about the Indian casinos up here in WA, this will really slow them down!”
I wonder if the order by the state covers the Indian casinos or other places on tribal land? I recall working at a site in Idaho and I mentioned to the client I had contemplated staying at the fancy new Indian casino/ hotel, but opted for the old one-story place so I could park my truck outside my room.
“Good decision. The Indian hotel doesn’t have to abide by the local building codes.”
I have no idea if that is true or not.

Above is an article from March 13 with official statements from Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland, just east of Seattle. (And a few miles from me.)
They are stressed, but not as dire as the post indicates. Of course this is the official release - views of individual doctors or nurses will see this differently.
excerpt:
In addition, supplies are running low at the hospital, Baker reports. The most recent count of supplies shows the hospital has 42,000 surgical masks left, with about 6,000 being used per day. Concerned that the supply could be depleted just as the outbreak becomes worse, the hospital put in place conservation methods.
