It’s amazing. I never would have thought that Americans would be reacting like this to what is at worst a typical flu that, like any flu, kills some of the most vulnerable and just gives the great majority a few bad days.
This is insane. The economic damage is going to be unbelievable.
Do you really think this virus is a bad flu? Aren't you even curious why every country in the world has gone to lock down to try and slow it down?
There will be economic losses as a result of people being unable to work due to social distancing measures, less travel, less elective medical procedures, no cruises, no large conventions, etc. They will be offset in part by all the shopping being done by Americans who are determined to buy a six month supply of toilet paper and other essentials.
Revenues for stores just jumped, and their suppliers are now busy making more of everything.
Lethality is >10x regular flu.
Contagious while asymptomatic.
This is jest getting started.
This is in addition to everything else.
If mitigated properly, will look like nothing happened.
If mitigated improperly, millions dead.
