Reasonable people will give him the benefit of the doubt, given what WHO has done, Italy China, many other nations, many Governors in this country... I thought he was not handling it well at first, mostly just his off-the-cuff remarks, but I give him credit now.
This Presidential presser is a big raspberry at China. He’s got all the movers and shakers out today, a garden full of free press, with transparency for all.
Welded doors, beatings, stormtrooping, CCP-one-upmanship political squabbling between (province equivalent) states at a nil. Citizen intimidation and blockading, throwing netizens into jail or worse, are all the stuff of totalitarian third world nations with glitter who’ve reduced their population to over-surveilled numbers on a shirt (see the china police ‘name tags’). Slaves punished, public and peer shaming encouraged and cheered on by the state towards those speaking against the state with the award of social credit, even against those sharing life-saving information.
Maoist brutalism and Marxist barbarism that just isn’t necessary in the free world where people are treated with dignity and independence of self. Even if they do act stupid sometimes. Let that sink in with the Chinese, the Iranians, the North Koreans and the Russians - and the rest of the world.
