"On Wednesday, March 4, we issued a memo stating that our plans to host the Masters Tournament, the Augusta National Womens Amateur and the Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals had not changed. Unfortunately, the ever-increasing risks associated with the widespread Coronavirus COVID-19 have led us to a decision that undoubtedly will be disappointing to many, although I am confident is appropriate under these unique circumstances.
"Considering the latest information and expert analysis, we have decided at this time to postpone the Masters Tournament, the Augusta National Womens Amateur and the Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals."
I’m not a golfer. This is a fake crisis. Golf is an outdoor sport. Decision makers for the Masters are acting like fools.
I’m not arguing with your conclusion.
But they do have 40/50,000 peeps in fairly close proximity on the grounds.
We have an Optishot golf simulator setup in hubby's mancave.....and every year during Masters week we can play a replica of Augusta along with the pkatyers. So much fun!
The azaleas won’t wait ...
Don't bet on it. Knowing the Augusta crew, they are building a green house right now in which they will start growing thousands of Azalias that will bloom just in time for the rescheduled tournament. Which will then be planted by hand. It's the Masters way.
And get a little of this at tee and green and the start of each round.
