My grandfather didn’t believe a Hitler would be that bad. He heard the stories but couldn’t believe anything bad would happen to him. He owned a factory and stores. He wasn’t very religious. He was a strong part of the German economy. But they pulled him out of the home by the SS and threw him into Buchenwald anyway.

Sorry to hear that...and yea, it wasn’t that Jews were waiting around to be rounded up, it was that they simply couldn’t comprehend that degree of evil, particularly when they didn’t feel that they were undermining their home countries.

Now we have history, and we have the Internet. But, sadly, the vast majority of people STILL are simply unable to comprehend that, yes, it can get ‘that bad’ here, when seeing what’s going on in Wuhan.
