Wow. I just went out to pick up a few things, mostly cash and a webcam for my wife, but stopped off at the grocery store. Not anywhere near as bad as that pic, but it was VERY busy, and people were filling their carts with all the standard panic items. I think Trump’s message last night woke a lot of people up who were not taking it seriously before. Funny how every guy has their phone in their hand. Asking the wife what to get “instead”.
I told hubby that things would get busy, at the grocery stores, after POTUS’ message.
I told the guy stocking shelves at Food Lion last night (3/11), while making my final true prep run, that the then-current panic runs were just the warm-up, because of the “pandemic” label and the then-impending Trump speech. I told him he was going to be really busy, IIRC.
My next grocery trip will be picking the slim pickings from skinny shelves, undoubtedly.
