As I predicted on Jan 24th...on this site...governments will fall. Economies will collapse.
In the aftermath, war is far more likely.
The only effective containment we have seen thus far, and it’s suspect, has been the severe and draconian measures taken by a few Asian countries.
It remains to be seen if western governments have the will for it. And whether people in western societies will put up with it.
Well, that’s kind of it...isn’t it? The severe measures will collapse the economy by themselves. There are no right answers. The forced reaction leads to the same end as if it had been done proactively. Collapse the economy earlier or later...it doesn’t matter, the government fails and falls either way.
Asians, by their culture, are predisposed to respect authority, obey their governments, and even sacrifice for the common good. Western countries have no such cultural tradition. Pushing back against authority, refusing to bend is our tradition.

I was wondering if the Iranian regime were about to collapse, might they try to use their most powerful assets on Israel?

Funny that protests in Iran and Hong Kong that endangered the tyrants’ control over the masses are not increasing. No stories I’ve noticed. Maybe leaders mysteriously are among the missing from the virus./s
Wouldn’t it be great to have the Chicoms’ subjects fight back? And Iran get into the secular style 21st century apparently many want over there.
