From the CNBC/Dr Fauci link....
A top U.S. health official said the worst is yet to come with the coronavirus outbreak that has already infected more than 1,000 people across the nation and resulted in at least 31 deaths.
I can say we will see more cases and things will get worse than they are right now, Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told the House Oversight and Reform Committee on Wednesday at a hearing on the nations preparedness for the outbreak.
Fauci said COVID-19 is at least 10 times more lethal than the seasonal flu, even if the mortality rate drops far below the World Health Organizations current estimate of 3.4%.
.... snip ...
The COVID-19 outbreak is just weeks underway in the U.S. How much worse it gets depends on two things, Fauci said: containing the influx of infected people coming from other countries and containing local outbreaks within the U.S.
Bottom line is its going to get worse, he added.
“How much worse it gets depends on two things, Fauci said: containing the influx of infected people coming from other countries and containing local outbreaks within the U.S.”
Failing on both fronts.
The first is a Federal responsibility - Failing
The second is a state responsibility - Failing
Though some states are beginning to wake up, most actions to date are half hearted and ineffective.
The necessary actions are the antithesis of liberty.
I’m going to take a a turn here.
This is not intended as a thread slide and I will NOT reply to comments on this post. I will let the Spirit of this message breathe its own purpose.
We get so focused on the data and what’s going on.
What is real?
What is not real?
What does tomorrow hold for us, for our loved ones?
How do we stay safe?
How bad will it be?
I will be posting the doubling rate of confirmed cases again later. The trend continues in the US unfortunately. Hopefully it improves and our leaders take necessary steps to help this.
My GF and I have made a commitment of focus and it is this:
Get our relationship right with God.
Truly know Him and be in honest, humble relationship with him.
See others as He sees them.
...and while we’re given each present moment, enjoy it and savor it for the gift that it is.
We can get so temporal and is not good.
So in that spirit and with thoughtfulness, take a break from the numbers, the headlines, the preparations and the debates to spend time with Him.
Horatio Spafford wrote a pen which was put to music.
“It is well with my soul”. Take a moment to read why he wrote it...what burden was upon him when he did so. It is a beautiful hymn declaring that despite what happens, it is well as long as He is with us. He’s sideways with us, sideways in control.
Here is a contemporary version. Take a break, calm your soul, draw near to Him. He WILL draw near to you and give you peace

Consider it an intermission from the world for your soul =o)
...again, no reply will be given to any who comment on this post. I’ll let Him do His work
