The Defense Secy. canceled his press conference today, so this may be more about getting troops home...

We will see...

The Tubes? Haven’t heard that reference in a while. Do I win a baby’s arm holding an apple?

Any troops brought home should go into quarantine.

They might be needed later.

We still have an empire to protect. And a homeland.

You might get the corona discount when all is said and done.

I'd like to go on the Viking Cruise Line because they have new smaller cruise ships about 900 passengers, instead of the 2-4,000 passenger ships.
No one under 18 onboard, and no Gambling Casino. -Tom

If your pantry and freezer have an inch of empty space, you’re not ready. No one knows how long.

You sure your brother won’t bring along a friend or two?

It’s not just food, it’s whatever you may need as well. Either of you need to stock pet food and pet meds? Your meds, too. Do you have tp and sanitizers/cleaners? Is there a mechanical something that needs repairing like a vehicle or lawn mower or a washing machine? Keep the gas tank filled and have some extra because a quarantine may not allow gas tankers to come in. You’re gonna need a working washing machine and detergent unless you want to go down to the public laundromat or to the store just for laundry detergent (or whatever) during the middle of a neighborhood quarantine.

It’s not like anything you buy won’t be used if this turns out to be short lived. TP and soap don’t have expiration dates and that can of green beans can surly be eaten before 2022.

Western societies are not showing the necessary will to beat this virus.

It IS reasonable to decide to let it run its course and deal with the fallout in the aftermath. But I’m not sure it’s moral.

Even the large Grand Princess ship has only 2 passengers got infected with the virus.

You know they tested less than 1.4% of the total people onboard (45 tested of 3534 on board), right? And 21 of those tests, or 46% came back positive. From the very limited information given, the tests were done on crew members with symptoms and the 15 or so passengers who were on both the Mexico Cruise and the Hawaii Cruise. The odds that "only 2 passengers" were infected are incredibly small. The infections are most likely in the hundreds.

Your point about the vast majority of cruises actually having ZERO infections is true, at this early stage. That will change. My sister is 10 days into an 18 day cruise right now. She loves cruising and wasn't going to miss this one over the small number of ships having problems.

The low end takes care of the entire west coast, NY and D.C.

The high end is half the US.

Hope he’s wrong. The admin needs to get their butts off the couch.
