Another thing that those posters are ignoring:
It may be that most deaths are occurring in those over 70, but, at least in Italy, there are good number of younger people that have required hospitalization.
The more that require hospitalization, the worse the outcome for all.
Wonder what happens to those pandemic bonds now...
Wrong move IMHO.
The deaths of those over 70 are because they don’t do anything for anyone over 65.
Over 65 or under with any existing conditions (diabetes, cancer, hypertension, etc) don’t get ICU beds.
If this were 100 years ago the age profile of the dead would be much younger as nobody would get an ‘icu bed’.
If they had enough ICU beds for everyone, the elderly wouldn’t be dropping like flies.

“I can say we will see more cases and things will get worse than they are right now,” Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told the House Oversight and Reform Committee at a hearing on the nation’s preparedness for the outbreak Wednesday.
Fauci said COVID-19 is at least 10 times “more lethal” than the seasonal flu, even if the mortality rate drops far below the World Health Organization’s current estimates of 3.4%.
I cancelled my trip to Morocco which would be in 2 weeks and I bought the travel insurance and got a full refund minus the insurance cost.
Even though Morocco has less than 10 cases, I don’t want to be stuck in a third world country and the panic that could ensue.
The “this is not about me” posters are both selfish and stupid—a tough way to go through life!

SCIFs are usually reserved for intelligence and military operations. Ordinary cell phones and computers can’t be brought into the chambers. HHS has SCIFs because theoretically it would play a major role in biowarfare or chemical attacks.
Very wise decision.
And if YOU got it in Morocco, they would likely prioritize care for Moroccans first. Which is completely understandable.
I don’t doubt that....I wonder if they realize the owner of this establishment is one of those older folks, that they’re ready to kick to the curb.
