Continuation of the thread.
The Chinese connection was Iran’s _first_ mistake.
They then compounded it by failing to enforce social distancing and quarantines once they realized they had a major problem.

It is a total head scratcher...
Kuwait and Qatar just banned the Philippines as well, in addition to the above named countries.
The Philippines DOH is lying about numbers... even Filipino Senator Lacson is calling out the Duterte Administration on this...
Censorship is rampant in the Middle East. Im sure the numbers are faked as well. Emirates and Etihad will be hard hit. Profit before human lives...
The UAE is banning all expats from leaving the country for 30 days. All schools and universities closed. If they return, a mandatory 14-day quarantine, unless they traveled to a Muslim country (Allah will save them. Right?)
Am unfortunately not able to go through all those videos, but will watch a couple. Thanks!
And viruses don’t defy gravity - they have to adhere to the physical laws of nature just like any other organism. If it got into the vent, it got there by an explainable reason.
Why can’t they be a little more specific? Moreover, we have known about this virus since December.... what’s with these 70... 80 years olds (most vulnerable) going on these foreign cruises then coming back and hacking up a lung all over the place. Hell, I’m almost 70 and I know better.
Pence you may want to WAKE UP and act .
Trump stated to screen the incoming last Sunday .
Yes, the list is interesting.
I’ve given up on China numbers, they only show one new death today.(?!) I figure the rest of the countries are making an effort at realistic numbers.
The big unknown is “unidentified cases”.
I didn’t like that daily death toll doubled today, but then I found that all of the extra and more came from Italy, 133 deaths today. Still waiting on the final total number for
today.
Guarantee that this gets the attention of those in Washington.

Well said, and these things have to happen sometime to reveal the real truth underneath them. the ones who started it and why
Certainly the economic impact is there and hysteria is like shouting fire in a crowded theatre. The MSM is stoking the fire and breathlessly reporting this all in an attempt to blame Trump and keep people on edge. In a straight ahead view the United States is better positioned than virtually any other country in the world to minimize the overall impact and scale of this. As is typical with Flu and variants as the weather improves the nature of the Virus is to be less virulent and transferable.
I keep a very close eye on all of this as I am a partner in a business that deals with caregiving and much of our efforts are in remediation, especially when it comes to infections and other things of this ilk. Peoples basic health is a major factor, and we work as well to improve that prior to the onset of the need for a care giver or as in many cases with this virus be in a Nursing home or similar facility
And last to your point on financial impact, the cost to this country for caregiving in 2015 was a half a trillion dollars and it continues to grow.
Even more globally
Any one see the mad rush to get out of Milan before the quarantine goes into effect? Probably a lot in Austria and Germany, or south to Rome by now. Did they close the autostada and autobahns heading into North Tylol and the mountain passes?
“I would like to express an opinion that the CDC blew it again by watching the air ports of entry, and cargo sea ports of entry, but forgot about tourist sea ports of entry”
I think the US Government has totally botched the entire response with the exception of the early call to ban travel to/from Wuhan.
1. Travel restrictions should have been more severe, and applied to all foreign travel in/out. Especially in.
2. When quarantines would have worked, we did not employ them. Now containment is impossible.
3. We should have had 1 million effective and easy test kits distributed by Valentines day. Instead we have tested less than 2,000 people.
4. Everyone should have been able to perceive the White House looking out for their safety rather than international business. Most didn’t.
5. The best marketing team in US history has failed with mixed messages, unclear messaging and outright obfuscation/disinformation...especially on test kit availability and employment. And on real risk of US infiltration by the virus.
It’s almost as if they knew the cost of actually stopping it was higher than letting it run its course.
Maybe they are right.
If so, they should say so and quit fluffing us. At least then the American people would know where they stand.
The reason is that the administration/FDA is allowing states to use their own tests, either their health departments or private. So I suspect that the CDC simply cant be bothered with counting since its not their test.

Ah, thanks
I know...I was dramatizing the point a bit...Intuitively we thing stuff goes down, not up... :-)
