Update on COVID-19 – One New Case Found

The Cabinet Secretary took a video conference with Chief Secretaries of all States/UTs here today. He emphasized upon actions like surveillance at points of entry (PoE), surveillance in the community, laboratory support and hospital preparedness. He called upon States/UTs to scale up logistics, quarantine facilities, capacity building, information management and risk communication.
One more new case has been reported from Punjab. Thus, as of now there are 44 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country (3 positive cases from Kerala which are now discharged). As many as 11,913 cases are under IDSP community followup. 404 Indian contacts of the ***US citizen tested positive in Bhutan have been identified and put under surveillance in Assam***.
A total of 9,41,717 international passengers from 8,827 flights have been screened at airports till now with 54 passengers being referred to IDSP/ hospitals.

The papers are clear that they don't yet know for COVID-19 if warmer weather will or will not affect the virus in an adverse way.

yep that was my first thought.
Local officials said it isn’t in CLE proper, but outside the city. They would say where though which will cause widespread concern in some areas to panic.
I don’t know why the have to be all mysterious over it...just say where. I think the secrecy causes more panic.

CDC meaning of “presumptive positive”:
“Presumptive Cases (persons with a positive test performed locally without CDC lab confirmation)”
“presumptive positive cases (individuals with at least one respiratory specimen that tested positive for the virus that causes COVID-19 at a state or local laboratory”
A case is only positive for COVID-19 when the CDC does the testing and confirms it.
Those numbers generated by tracking only the positive CDC cases are missing many cases and will miss more when more states begin testing.
Why?
