Scott Gottlieb, the former head of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, said the U.S. needs “a comprehensive plan” for cities, with support from the federal government....
Wait.....they're just now telling people that the 'sense is not encouraging....because they're seeing community spread'???? And, that we need a 'comprehensive plan'???
We were SCREAMING, here, about this....the community spread....for WEEKS!!

I see all of the reactions and make note of them, as well as the trends (downward) and more sources than you can imagine
I am not at all prone to what is being said, especially in MSM publications and as a part of my business I read a lot of medical and other journals
SARS, Ebola and so many more “pandemics” have come and gone and I am still here
Trust, but verify, and most important consider the source of the “news”
Understood. Merely saying there is a lot more to this story than the CDC and WHO are currently releasing. Just revealing limited information such as the number noted to be infected and their location, but not releasing the race, the underlying medical history or severity of those infected and just who is actually dying, does not clarify but contributes to panic.
That is a good point about breaks. Cancelling live class at Stanford may just well ensure they the students go to the mall, gym, club, restaurant, friends’ house. Etc.
I can see where cancelling a major sporting event might reduce person to person contacts.
But classes and work, not so sure.

I actually don’t feel doom and gloom.
My main concern is the economic loss (which I think is perfectly valid and not money worshipping). Hotel, restaurant, bar, travel, convention business all hit hard. We are losing a lot of wealth. And poverty kills people and makes them vulnerable.
I do have great sympathy for those who are sick or dying but also believe many have underlying conditions that would have made them more susceptible to anything.
Maybe they’ll cancel the Kentucky Derby along with March Madness.

Exactly. Iran got burned by that.
They canceled school in Teheran, and then the parents took their kids on vacations all over the country, spreading the infection everywhere.
It is one reason that today Iran is the world’s leading CV dumpster fire.
They have known this, Dr, Fauci and Gottlieb are top notch. I have followed Dr. Gottlieb from the beginning and had we been listening to him, we would have been a lot more proactive than reactive. Anyway. I think they are slow walking the facts out there.
They know how bad this is going to be.

I predict that the DOW will be bouncing around until the MSM decides if this media-driven COVID hysteria is succeeding in taking out Trump or not. Everything else they’ve tried has failed so maybe they’re hanging their hats on this.
