Continuation of the thread.
Guess who’s coming to San Antonio?
Grand Princess Cruise Ship passengers disembarking in Oakland.
I am just posting news, flubro.
D@mn, I *knew* I shouldn’t have topped off the car on Friday (I was preparing to shelter in place at home if necessary...)
I wonder if all 3 of these individuals had traveled recently to a foreign county or something like that, my gut feeling is most cases are near a Interstate hwy and the spread of it across this county will be buy the Interstate Hwy's possible through rest stops and gas stations.
Our Sam’s Club was packed last Sunday but not panic buying.
So far CDC has only tested approx 1600 people. Wait until the real testing and real infected numbers are released.
Not going to be pretty.
Should have shut off air and sea travel 3 weeks ago.
A woman on Fox this Morning said she just arrived from Rome to LaGuardia and no on met her or asked questions. This is really fuarked up
From last thread:
Contra Costa County in CA is implementing a bizarre policy of “NO DETAILS”, leaving people uninformed of possible infections around them. They won’t even tell you what city, area or hospital, just how many cases they have.
“There will not be other details released on the patients due to privacy. This includes the names of the hospitals.”
Thanks, ETCM.
Today’s worldwide death number is about double the last couple of days, at 206 about an hour to go in the GMT day.
Still trying to figure out how some countries have such low death rates. Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Austria, South Korea.

GEORGIA
MARIETTA, GA A total of 34 Georgians and other Americans aboard the Grand Princess cruise ship currently quarantined off the coast of California due to the new coronavirus will be transferred to an airbase in Marietta, Georgia, according to Gov. Brian Kemp.
“These passengers will undergo testing and be quarantined for possible exposure to COVID-19, Kemp said in a statement released on Sunday. “They are expected to arrive at Dobbins late Monday, March 9 or early Tuesday, March 10.”

Or the President of Portugal going into quarantine?
Reminds me of the old accounting adage: What number do you want it to be?
}There is _no_ data supporting this.” (Just affects Asians.)
It seems that TPTB are reluctant to even give this particular demographic information, perhaps to avoid being called racist. I would be interested to know exactly the demographic breakdown.
True that “folks around the world are getting..., spreading ... and ... dying from the virus.” But I’d be interested to know about the demographic info of the “dying” folks. ARE they primarily Asian, who are prolific smokers with compromised respiratory systems anyhow? Getting it and recovering from it is sort of “meh”, even if no fun. Dying is another story.
This guy’s US by state stats look good to me, and Lochner swears by them:
Just announced patient zero in Italy was a German autoworker working at the companies Italian plant not the paki dude.
I am old enough to be one and I live in the fastest growing retirement community in the US. I see none of the stuff that is being reported and since this all started I have seen 1 person wearing a mask and absolutely NO panic buying
And as far as my Grandparents they went to be with God decades ago
If you are trying to “school” me I am too old to let anything scare me, I have seen a lot starting with Polio shots as a kid in the very early 60’s and all that came in between that never amounted to more than a fart in a hurricane overall.
I know as much or more than you do about Boomers and beyond and the impacts of things like this especially when their immune systems are compromised or weakened. Flu as we experience typically year after year here in the US is a risk they have dealt with for a long time.
Hubris
Daylight savings time is a curse
For those who work the farm
We work by the sun and the seasons
And not by the hands of a clock
No extra golf or chores we can shirk
With crops and livestock left behind
For us less sleep and more work.
But this year will be different
A new virus to fear
Soon few will be shopping
No concerts, ball games or crowds
We will sit alone in our homes
In our gloom and our doom
For some Gods time draws near.
Self-quarantined on my WV organic farm. 2 year supply (no joke) of fresh, fresh frozen, canned, dehydrated foods from 60 or so different varieties I grow each year. You name it I have it. Just put in seedlings and seeds for the growing season. Garlic coming up looks great. Wife does the herbs, fire cider, makes kefir, yogurt, kombucha, etc. all the wood I need for heat. Plenty of water in the river and springs. Fresh eggs every day. Honey from the bees she keeps. Just had Guinness venison stew with dumplings. You have to ford the river to get here. 300 yard defensible perimeter. I stay home mostly. Wife does the gallivanting but cant think of anything we need. Did buy Everclear though, I guess Ill have to steam up some shine this year.
SPAIN
The new Covid-19 coronavirus already leaves 643 cases of infection in Spain, 596 active after the death of 17 people and the 30 patients recovered.

“Were working on a way to stream services so that my mostly old-people congregation is not at risk. Im wondering if other people are already working on similar solutions and what obstacles theyve encountered.”

I pretty much listen only for teaching, not the music stuff. There’s quite a few streams out there, though I imagine some folks might not agree with this or that position/teaching of an individual stream.
But if a person is looking for something that’s “generic” non-denominational evangelical teaching, the audio stream for J. Vernon McGee New Testament Study is one option:

For Catholic folks there’s some good Bishop Sheen Youtube playlists, as one possibility.
It is _extremely_ unlikely that the Washington state nursing home deaths are Asians.
I saw some of the resident’s families interviewed on TV and didn’t see any Asians among them.
